I think everyone has a story about 9/11 and even those who weren't there were effected even if they didn't see it, but it still would have been insane to be there…I don't think I would have been able to handle all that. Everytime I see the footage today I still get chills what's insane is just a month before that I was in DC. They had barracks around everything we asked why and they had said they were getting threats from Obama and when 9/11 happened that's the first thing I thought. Crazy, but from that day spawned many many more stories some made people stronger some helped some were hurt, but the city and the world grew a little from those ashes.

Thank you for this Perez. It's 4 a.m. here in Maryland and I can't sleep. I'm really shaken up by this anniversary. I lost someone special to me that day…hearing your story helped me to feel a little bit of piece.
    Rest in Peace Mr. Williams.

  4. 4

I'm sorry….little clarification needed buddy….unless you are telling me (even as someone with only a part time job) that you only had 300 dollars in your bank account - which is the maximum withdrawal of cash you can get from an ATM-….I find it rather overdramatic and it doesnt qutie add up to say you quickly when to an ATM and took out ALLLLL your money…hmm?

  5. 5

thanks for sharing. i was at UT austin in my sophomore year in college, and saw it all happening live on tv. it was a crazy day. i'm in nyc now, and my mom told me to stay in today..

Thank you Perez for sharing your story. I think it's important to NEVER forget this day in history.

  7. 7

It changed more than simply America. It changed the world.

And to the rest of you - Perez is allowed to share his thoughts and feelings about 9/11 just as much as we are. Shut the fuck up you ignorant, bigoted arseholes and just let whatever useless vendetta you have on him go just for a day.

  8. 8

I'm sick of hearing stories from people who weren't there. I don't care about your 9/11 experiences if you didn't live in NYC, like some of us.

  9. 9

Re: Mista Busta – That's a bit unnecessary. You didn't have to be in NYC to feel the shock and horror of it all. Granted, it was worse in NYC because it was on your doorstep, but watching it unfold from my home at the time in Saudi Arabia was no less horrifying to me, and left me no less shaken and distraught. The same goes for the rest of the world who witnessed it unfold, whether live or through a TV screen.

Re: Hilton Is A Self-SuckerRe: Shaniqua Jones – Guy's not today, could it be absolutely impossible that this, guy who lived in New York in the time genuinely felt like that? I only saw it on the news, and was completely horrified. So I can’t even imagine how much worse it was seeing in front of you.Re: Hilton Is A Self-Sucker – on the post before this, you told Perez, to reflect on 911, while in NY, yet here you are saying "opportunity to talk about yourself, your over-inflated ego is as ugly as your monstrous head." When he actually does so, many people who witnessed, lost someone they knew, were actually in NY and etc. talk about their experiences around the time it occurred as that is when they start to feel venerable. Maybe, just maybe, Perez is actually being genuine this time.

  11. 11

Re: Voivode – I agree with you, just for one day, lets try to be as respectful as possible, just for this one day.

  12. 12

Perez… no one wants to hear anything you have to say.

  13. 13

you deserved it americans ! many people were killed in iraq and palestine ,, innocent people .. because of you and your george bush ,,, they were killed and no body said no ,, but when it comes to you , you start to act like " victims"

  14. 14

Re: Shaniqua Jones – I find to this be one of the most disrespectful comments I've seen on here in a while…when it comes to subjects like this everybody is entitled to an opinion. You care enough to come on Perez's website and make a username and stuff so why waste you time writinrg rude comments? Every horrible thing you said about Perez is now running through my mind about you.

  15. 15

Re: Racheal-Leigh – The fact that you support and condone Perez's behavior, past and present, says a lot about YOU.

On topic, I see that just like when Amy Winehouse died, Perez is taking something in the popular press and making it all about himself.

  16. 16

Almost 3000 people died… Compared to nearly 67,000 civilian deaths in the Iraq War- America's vendetta war- that followed. Do they get a day of remembrance?

  17. 17

Re: Shaniqua Jones – It's a shame that I can only click the "skeleton - rate this comment as inappropriate" button once on your posts. What's even more shameful is that on this solemn and introspective day where we hope to come together peacefully to share the pain of that horrible day of 9/11, you can't censor your crude comments and foul mouth for a mere 24 hours to show an ounce of dignity or class. Shame on you.

  18. 18

  21. 21

I believe a 9/11 remembrance post should be the only thing that appears on this website today. Anything else he may post today is meaningless.

  22. 22

Re: FoUfCfK – Fuck you, you piece of shit. Jealousy is apparent in your post. Must live in a country where screwing goats and camels is considered normal.

  23. 23

Re: souhira1993 – That's because Iraq and Palestine don't count…….they're animals - ya heard fuckwipe?

  24. 24

came to read the comments. 9/11 was about hate. now some of you are continuing on with hate filled comments. just stop. please. no more hate. i think its fine here to share observations that occur to us without the nastiness. peace and love man, peace and love.

  28. 28

Re: POPSCIDICTATOR – Pops just cause you all may be right doesn't mean it has a place on a 911 post. So what if it is a story of fiction, hating on him just makes it more about him.

  29. 29

The only people who talk about how 9/11 impacted them are either politican, in the media or were at the site of the former Trade Center on that day. People who live, work and play in the region do not talk about the events or what has happened in the last 10 years. Grown men and women just don't want to cry anymore and feel terrible inside about that day. It really does hurt a lot. It's painful and you can see it on the faces and hear it in the voices of those who were there or lost a loved one. Sometime in the future I hope 9/11 organizers turn the corner on how they memorialize the victums instead of how they have been doing it for the last 10 years.

    Re: Mista Busta
A little self-centered, aren't we? Did you forget DC took a direct hit as well, and lives were lost there too?

  33. frrf says – reply to this

    33

I would just like to say thank you to the NYPD and especially the FDNY who ran into those burning towers looking to save people's lives. You are most certainly not forgotten. They are the one's most effected by this. They alone risked their lives going into that building and many of them now have serious health problems because of it. Sure some people may have lost loved ones but guess what? That is part of life we all lose someone eventually. I am sorry you lost your loved one but you weren't there running into those towers looking to pull people out and have an entire building collapse on you. And you certainly were not one of the poor few victims that were jumping to their death to avoid dieing in the fire.

Perez you are a drama queen and horribly bitter. Stop making everything about you.

  34. 34

Oh my fucking God, you are now trying to make 911 all about you? I mean seriously, you will stop at no lenghts to promote yourself and put your face out there. You are one sick individual.

Re: FoUfCfK – No, but you have Moose up in Canada ! Thanks to the U.S. you lazy fucks don't have to have a military and basically are taken care of by the U.S. You put your money in our banks and come here for medical treatment and then talk shit on our country.

  36. 36

Why can you not use words like "I" and "me"? This "we" and "our" stuff gets old quickly and of course you were gonna make this about you. NOBODY who the heck you were 10 years ago and NOBODY will care about who you were 10 years from now. Whatever happened to that record label gig you thought you had? I'm surprised you didn't get some crap from Lady-man Gross Gross about how she felt 10 years ago. Meth-head!

  37. 37

Re: Shaniqua Jones – Yes, he has had his douchey moments but come on, he has just as much, rights in telling us what happened on that day as the next person and yes, I would be interested in ANYONES point of view on 9/11, whether they were worried about someone they cared about or witnessed the scene itself. My sisters friend, saw the attack from a close angle and talked about how horrified she was, when watching all the people jumping out of the building to escape, does that make her horrible as she was telling it from HER point of view? I think, you are being a little bias and letting a lot of his past actions cloud your judgment and although Perez has done his fair share of fucked up things, and I hope he isn’t going as far as exploiting this situation for his own, benefit. When it comes to a subject like that, anyone should have the right to express how they felt and how it had affected them but like I said, I really do hope he isn’t exploiting this situation for his own, benefit.

  38. 38

And I'm also, horrified with all the negative comments on here, can you guys seriously not wait a mere 24 hours to avoid all these crude, hate filled and horrible comments? I would like to mourn the loss of all the innocent people who lost their lives in this attack and give my condolences to all the loving people who were involved in their lives. If there is, such a thing as a heaven and hell, I hope Osama and any other terrorists involved are rotting in hell. I hope I'm not the last person, who's respectful on here. Rest In Piece.

  39. 39

9/11 wasn't about you, douchebag, but you try to make everything about you because your ego demands it. You obviously don't realize that most of us don't give a shit about you, where you were, what you were doing, or how you felt. You have very few fans and only those on your payroll "care" about you. STFU about anything and everything serious.

  40. 40

Its an event that everyone has an opinion on but I think Perez, if you read the comments about yourself, you would see the majority of people despise you. You have made 30 million and more from this site so your going have to live with the reputation you have and deal with it. It would be for your benefit if you stopped publicizing yourself because do you really need to?

  41. 41

Re: POPSCIDICTATOR – someone is gay and is denial. Jeez i finally had to comment because you are such a gay basherand take it way to far. Maybe you want cum dripping from your ass. Jeez I'm pretty sure you have no friends hater facker

  42. 42

    Re: Shaniqua Jones
Actually I was very interested in hearing his point of view. I had forgotten about some of the things that he had mentioned, like the smell that lingered in the city months after the attack. He was the only person I heard so far mention that. The panic that he experienced…all that I couldn't even imagine. Everyone from celebrities to ordinary people are giving their "what I was doing that day" story. Why is it so all about him when Perez does it? It's not like any major news outlet is going to pick this up and show it to the world anyway. You do have to kind of come to his site voluntarily to hear his point of view.

  43. 43

I'm not a fan of Perez much either but you guys have to remember this is PEREZHILTON.com not unbiasgossip.com. This is his site, he pays for the domain so he can do what ever the fuck he wants with it. It's funny seeing all you haters wasting your time firing at him and everyone who says their own opinions that you don't agree with when god forbid you could actually be doing something with your lives that's useful…

  44. 44

Re: Sheather3 – you obviously missed the point, Dobby!! Lmfao!! My comment had to do with Pez Head being a fuckin' liar!! Now stay on topic, ya nerd. Lol!! P.S. Your description of moi is so on-point it's scary!! You got me, Sheather3!! LolZ!!

  45. 45

Re: The village Idiot – LEARN TO SPELL ”PEACE” GOOBER!! LOLZ!!

  46. 46

interesting how a bunch of people want to complain about Perez making it about him, then try and draw attention to themselves by complaining about it. It's a day to reflect, not hate or try to be 'right' on a blog…

  47. 47

Re: GayRay – you are the animal ! you are ignorant and stupid like many people ,,, human is human ! stay human !!!!

  48. 48

I feel for those who were affected by what happened, but that does *not* exclude all of those who were killed *after* and because of the event as well. I would be fine about hearing about 9/11 if every other tragedy in the world was treated the same way - but it isn't. It's inconsistent, selective and biased. An innocent is an innocent regardless of their ethnicity and nationality. I would like to hear about all the victims of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as those in the US, because that is what is right, what is fair.

  49. 49

Wow, just wow. Be civil people. It really hurts my heart that people are acting like this. Like a few have said already Perez has the right to say what he remembers from that day.

  50. 50

Such disrespect here, some of you should be seriously ashamed of your comments. Regardless of how you feel about Perez, or the causes of 9/11, there is no need to disrespect the memory of all those innocent people whose lives were taken.
    GET IT TOGETHER!

  51. 51

Re: WildOrchid1298 – Appreciate your comment, but I'm sure you meant to type Osama… right? :-)

  52. 52

Re: souhira1993 – No one deserves to die, no matter where they are from. You're a sad person.

  53. 53

    LOL to all the comments.

    54

I don't think sharing a personal story of where you were when you heard about the terrible events that happened on 9/11 is being insensitive or seeking attention. It was a defining moment as people around the world as reacted with shock and horror at what had happened. We all remember where we were that day. I also remember the way it brought people together and brought out the very best in people. Let's try and remember not only the victims but also the feeling of solidarity and community that this tragedy inspired. The finest tribute I could think of to remember those who died and the heroes that rushed forward to help is to recapture those feelings and make them part of your everyday life.

  55. 55

Re: POPSCIDICTATOR – Oh, sue me! And if you are going to call someone out for their spelling, don’t use the word “LOLZ” as it makes you look like a dimwit. Oh, and nice boasting! It’s very classy, when someone’s giving their condolences. That’s called sarcasm, in case that microscopic brain of yours, cannot process that.

  56. 56

I live in England but this day will be forever in my memory, god rest their souls xxx

Time stood still, as we watched in dismay.
How did humanity end in this way.

The horror unfolded, tragedy lay waiting.
Such cruelty & heartache, sadness & hating.

10 years have passed, what have we learnt.
From that day when the towers billowed & burnt.

Life's too precious, to waste living in fear.
Cherish what you have, keep loved ones near.

So this September 11th take a moment to pray.
For those who lost their lives on that awful, awful day.

These comments are completely ridiculous and are the result of trolls with too much time on their hands.
It's cathartic and important to share how you felt and experienced that day, no matter where you were in the world.
No disrespect intended whatsoever, but this is possibly the most bizarre account/re-telling of that day I've heard/seen.

  62. 62

Thanks for sharing, P. I'm sorry for you and all New Yorkers who had to walk that road on 9/11.

  63. 63

I worry about how people react so violently on the Internet. Such anger and hatred towards people. Aren't we trying to fight against that?
Thanks for sharing your story Perez, I can't imagine what it must have been like to be there and watch it happen. My thoughts to all those who are affected by the tragedy. x

  64. 64

Re: Hilton Is A Self-SuckerRe: RDylan – would you fucking stop it? what is the matter with people like you? this is a historical day and Perez talked about his experience and he did nothing wrong. grow up for fuck sake. can't believe how disrespectful people are, it's a fucked up world. makes me sad

Re: FoUfCfK – Well, you're the worst 1% of Canadians, because I'm working up here temporarily, and Canada's had respectful memorial after respectful memorial along with letters of thanks from the President B.O. for their landing, taking in, and taking care of the thousands of people and planes on that day heading for the U.S. that turned into a no-fly zone. Canadians took thousands into their homes for days, and now these people are life long friends. I guess you'll never be one of them.

  68. 68

What's with ALL the blinking?!!! These ticks are distracting.

  69. 69

Perez, take a second to think about the thousands of people who's lives were dramatically affected by 9/11, and your own story might not seem so dramatic.

  70. 70

Thanks for sharing your story Perez. I can't even fathom actually living in New York and seeing that. A friend of mine had a job interview in the towers that day. He was stuck in a traffic jam and he narrowly escaped being in the towers when it happened.

  71. 71

As I said in the Gaga post, while I understand most people are sharing their stories today, Perez just comes off as too dramatic and very self-important. His ego has become so large, I don't know how he holds his head up. I'm not going to be a "hater" here, but there are too many others who witnessed and experience far worse than what he could have ever imagined. My sister worked across the river from the Pentagon and saw it happen. She said it was like a ghost town. People just parked their cars on the bridge and walked away. It wasn't solely NYC that lost everything.

  72. 72

    Thanks for sharing your story,Perez.

Our company almost lost a brilliant programmer and wonderful person, but fortunatly her meetings were extended and flight was rescheduled, otherwise she woudl have been on the AA flight from Boston that crashed into the towers. We were all very worried.

This was a terrible day for America as the continental USA had never before been attacked, only Pearl Harbor in Hawaii by the Japanese which got us into WWII.
