Lucy Lawless Remembers Her Spartacus Co-Star Andy Whitfield
As we unfortunately reported earlier, actor Andy Whitfield has passed away at the young age of 39.
The Spartacus star lost his battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and his family and friends couldn't be hurting more.
Among those friends is co-star Lucy Lawless who remembers him fondly:
He was a gentle man who never said a bad word about anyone, a gifted photographer, engineer, and a brilliant actor.
So, so sad. The man was truly a gift to us all.
Our thoughts go out to everyone personally affected by his death as well as fellow fans.

Oh man! My heart goes out to his family and friends. RIP Andy, you will be sorely missed and forever remembered.
Everything Ive read about the man confirms that he was a fundamentally kind and loving man. God bless his family and loved ones. His passing at such a young age is tragic.
Lucy Lawless is always wellspoken, classy and great. Bless her.
Everyone who is a fan of the show hoped and prayed that Andy Whitfield would get better when he first got his diagnosis. He was a big part of what made that show awesome. It's so sad.
