Amy Winehouse's Dad Reveals That Blake Started Her On Hard Drugs.

| Filed under: TV NewsDrugsAmy WinehouseR.I.P.Anderson CooperSad Sad

Such a tragedy.

During Anderson Cooper's premiere episode of his new talk series, Anderson, Amy Winehouse's parents, Mitch and Janice, appeared to discuss the death of their daughter, and during which gave some insight into how her estranged husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, started her down the path of hard drug use, and how they feared it would take her life four years ago.

Mitch explained:

"Blake isn't the blame for her death…but it's without question - according to Amy, and he said so himself - he was the one who started her on the hard drugs. And that was indisputable. If she had died four years ago, we would have all held our hands up at that point and we would have said, 'fair enough,' because she was very ill. She was taking an inordinate amount of drugs, and it was a struggle to keep her going. We would not have been surprised, if four years ago, she would have died."

This just makes it all the more heartbreaking, because she really had overcome so much in the past few years.

Seems unfair that after everything she went through, she would still lose her life at such a young age.

Our thoughts go out to Mitch and Janice, as well as all of her friends and loved ones.

So who 'started her' down the road to alcohol withdrawel? Blake was no keeper, but she didn't expire from hard drugs.

Re: rickraton – Agreed. If it was not Blake it would have been someone else. Just like MJ and his 'doctors'.

  5. 5

Yes and their daughter never became famous and became a brat either.

Poor Amy. This world is very difficult for the very sensitive. It's easy for the sociopathic (most Republican leaders).

A big thing people with alcohol or a drug addiction do, is they blame everybody else but themselves and never take responsibility for their own actions.

Sorry Amy, but only you were the one who could snort the cocaine. Nobody could cram it down the nose for you, you were at a place in your life where you were looking for an escape and I guess this was it. It is easy to also understand that Blake did take a big part in her addiction, because instead of offering her a different alternative to getting help (Theres tons of options out there, but how many people actually go through with the alternative?) he suggested drugs.

Also, Blake wasn't the sole reason he was only a contributor. The people/things/places around her are also contributors toward her issue. He was just a major part, because she was around him consistently and he was a disease to her. Nobody should blame somebody else solely for the reason they got into drugs or alcohol. Why didn't anybody ask the question, why did she turn to drugs in the first place? What made her, as a human being, wish to do that to herself? Why aren't people even fucking now, that shes dead and you cannot say it to her face, taking any responsibility in her death?

    Ironic, isn't it?

Destructive and self-destructive people usually have a way of finding each other. Amy the self-destrucitve giver, found Blake the destructive taker. And so there story goes on forever.

You're starting to bug again Mario. That is very old news. Blake admitted that to the media himself a very long time ago. Also re: your tod's and tierra's for the day, once again there you go making a big headline with nothing to back it up. that was lame. you keep sayin shit so ppl will explore it further and then it's no big deal AT ALL I'm going to skip by that shiz again. Been meaning to comment, but today I have to experience it back to back. step up your game again plz

I get that he is hurt, but it's time for him to shut the fuck up. All he does it talk to the press. First it was that ridiculous explanation that her body was to small to handle withdrawls, how fucking stupid, then it's a siezure, what next, aliens. She was a drunk drug addict trashy chick, she did not deserve to die, but she does not deserve to be glorified for essentially committing suicide by drinking and drugging herself to death.
