Netflix Stock Plummets After Losing Millions Of Customers

Netflix Price Increase Stock Decrease

Welp!

It's not like we didn't see this coming!

After increasing prices, Netflix has lost millions of customers, literally.

And due to the poor showing its stock is sinking faster than the Titanic!

But unlike popular belief, we don't think Netflix is too evil.

We were angry at first too, but it's just a crappy situation for everyone involved. If Netflix wants to increase their library, and studios keep demanding more money, there's naturally going to be a cost hike.

On the other hand, the low prices is what set Netflix apart.

Bottom line, it's still dirt cheap for what you're getting, but we totally understand angry customers who love low prices.

If the competition ends up being less quality than Netflix, they'll come back. If not, Netflix will have to step their game up.

Hopefully this lose-lose can turn back into a win-win!

    Got greedy…

You and Netflix have something in common then.

    good for them

The stock drop is not only due to losing customers. Starz, who provided movies from Sony and Disney, declined to renew their contract with Netflix.

Perhaps all these customers need to be returned to the olden days of a few years ago when their only option was to rent decent movies for $3.50 a pop, games for $4.00 a pop, and subscribe to cable tv to be able to watch the shit Netflix offers with ease.

Then they might be a little more grateful for what they had.

I mean its adapt or die for Netflix. I'm also cranky about the fact that they don't have enough instant options available and they are constantly removing stuff that was previously available to live stream. I spend wayyy to much time looking for stuff to watch. Can't wait for competitors to get up to speed I will never watch TV again!

I cancelled my account with them, because the instant streaming selections were horrible. I wasn't going to all of a sudden pay double just to get the dvd plan because I couldn't watch something instantly.

Bull sh*t, Netflix is evil! First of all, Netflix killed blockbuster, THEN after they all closed, they conveniently jacked up their prices.

    its absolutely greedy

Lol, I'll bet the MPAA just loves this news.

I refuse to go back to Netflix. Their Canadian selection is no where near the selection the US has, and all for the same price. I get a better selection of movies on VOD which I can watch online and off while not even touching my data cap or costing me extra, unless I want new releases… but I wouldn't get those on Netflix anyways. Most broadcasters websites in Canada will have recent episodes or full seasons, so I'm perfectly fine without it.

Not everyone watches Netflix enough to get their money's worth per month. Like we canceled because we were only watching about 5-6 movies per month and so it was over-priced for what we were getting out of it.

Just cancelled today but am keeping the streaming. Streaming might not offer everything but it's good enough and then there's Redbox and better yet, the LIBRARY. Try your library for movies and it's FREE!! Netflix WAS the little engine that could and Blockbuster ruled. Never have I seen a little company take over as they did and so quickly. Their price still isn't awful but unless you watch A LOT it isn't worth it.
