Andy Whitfield Spartacus Final Words To His Children

This is so unbelievably sad!

As you all unfortunately know, Spartacus star Andy Whitfield passed away on September 11, 2011 after a long battle with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

His wife, Vashti, remembers her husband's final words to their children:

I am going to go to sleep now as my body won't work any more. I am like a butterfly with broken wings. I will always be with you and will always be watching over you. I love you.

Tears! Tears are producing! This is way too sad. We're going to miss him so much.

Our thoughts are with Vashti and their children — Indigo Sky and Jesse Red.

Sobbing right now. What beautiful strength induced words for his children and wife. Gut wrenching.

I'd like to think Andy is up there somewhere now with my best friend Jen, who also died of Cancer right before Andy passed. Together they light up the night sky, with the many, many, Bright Angels who have gone before them, taken too damn soon by this merciless disease, Cancer. Broken Butterflies, no more. Go with Grace Andy, You are missed.

I HATE CANCER. I think everyone knows at least 1 person that's been taken by this awful disease. RIP Andy! :(

and btw, perez, you'll 'miss him so much?' that's ridiculous, you haven't even mentioned this guy before he died…stop being so fake and dramatic.

"Tears! Tears are producing!……… We're going to miss him so much" Is that really a serious effin response?!?!? Pathetic Perez, way to attach yourself to someone elses grief. Typical queen.

Way too young, he was definitely the complete package. He'll truly be missed. R.I.P Andy, you're gone, but will never be forgotten. = (

Beautifully worded and wonderfully phrased so that two young children could understand what was happening. He must have been a great guy - Ive never heard anything about him that wasnt positive.

So so sad! I still can't even believe it…. Many tears for him and I can't imagine the heartache that his wife, his kids and his family are feeling. This beautiful being will be missed terribly : (

He was amazing eye candy in Spartacus but he seems to be a geniunely good soul outside of it too. Cancer sucks, what a beautiful man and what a beautiful legacy to leave to his children to remember.

Let his soul his essence his very being continue to live through all of us and let this belief shine upon all of us and comfort us. Know that he is in a better place where he is at true peace. There will be many, many, many more that will need to battle this terrible disease and if they fall short of conquering this terrible disease they will need their spirit to live through us as well. Try to picture a place where Riperton sings angelic music on a majestic field where her voice brings everlasting joy and fulfillment. Picture a place where Ross paints wonderful masterpieces of the godly, peaceful scenery around him. Now imagine a place where our brave warrior gathers among them both and many others and is greeted with the same compassion and gentleness that the brave warrior had always given to all that knew and meet him. Imagine the love that he is feeling. Imagine the warmth that he is feeling. Imagine the smile on his face. Imagine the glow in his eyes. Imagine. Always have people around you that love and care for you all. Peace and love.
