this looks very interesting. i guess clinton did the best he cld at the time. he was fighting a crazy nation. it wld have taken a lot more guts and honor to have just done the right thing in the first place: allow gays to serve openly.

im glad this world is finally waking up. equality for all its citizens. sheesh.

just another failed liberal policy, no need for a documentary on it. i guess it would go something like this. Rex likes dick but he also like to fight in the military but don't ask him because he isn't suppose to tell you. way to go liberals!

Re: themundane – Agreed. At the time, DADT was seen as a compromise. I don't think Clinton would have been able to pull off complete equality at that time. There is still so much hatred, but hopefully one day there will be no discrimination.

Re: buck – Remember the gay women too….why is it when so many hear "gay" they just refer to men? are Women still invisible in a already existing minority? Come on peeps!!

What we've done is absolute madness: compromised an effective military for the rights of a very, very small percentage of people, most of whom do not have any desire to serve in the military and generally hate anything to do with it anyway. And for what? So Lefties can pat each other on the back?

The inmates have taken over the asylum.

Re: Beauceron – ok ill bite troll..this is about equality, so men and women who already are I'm the army don't loose everything they have worked for becuase some asshole decides to out them..are you telling me that now all the gay people in the army are going to go around talking about there life style and acting flamboyant? That would be redicousl , the only thing that will change is that people can't get thrown out for being gay end of the story.

Re: Beauceron – You're incompitant, and more likely a civilian that has never served in the national guard/Naval forces before. As a United States Sailor I can proudly tell you that people in service don't care and support this decision. Whether I suck a mans dick or a man sucks a mans dick/scissor… we all love, hurt, feel, and bleed, and we ALL deserve to be treated the same in this world. Who are you to say otherwise? And stop cheating on your significant other…
