Stevie Nicks Is Determined To Work With Katy Perry

| Filed under: Music MinuteKaty PerryStevie Nicks

Katy Perry doesn't know it yet, but she and Stevie Nicks are going to work together.

At least, that's what Stevie thinks as she's been desperate to work with Katy and is convinced they're going to end up in the studio doing a duet.

She says:

"I'm going to do a song with her someday. She doesn't know it, but I'm going to, because I really do like her. I love the song E.T. I feel that sadness of almost like the E.T. movie and I love it. So I think she's really good."

Stevie and Katy fans can rejoice because we're 100% behind this idea. Get the ball rolling, gurls!

I'm usually the douchebag that hates on all modern music, but Perry's voice is uniquely awesome as well. Both of them would sound terrific together. OR it would be so bad it isn't funny.

Well of course she is. An old hag that never was relevant with Starship wanting to work with an autotune robot looking chick who sings mind killing pop music. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Does Katy even know who Stevie is?

    Re: hoochpit
Grace Slick was with Starship. Stevie was with Fleetwood Mac.

Stevie Nicks may be a rock icon, but I can't stand her poorly-supported singing. She sounds so sandpaper-y now that even Katy Perry would sound okay next to her. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Katy seems like a nice girl, but I just can't stand her singing or her music. When my 5th grade music students that don't understand the concepts of intonation, tone colors, and chord structures get googly-eyed over her, I'm reminded of what her target audience is and why she is so popular. When Stevie Nicks says she is going to record a duet with Katy Perry, I just think to myself, "Your singing is pretty terrible, but don't you have any integrity?" I guess not.
