Fall Out Boy Frontman Patrick Stump Drops Music Video For Fab Debut Solo Single!

Get ready to see a new - and in our opinion, much better - side to Patrick Stump!

That's ready, the former Fall Out Boy frontman has just released his music video for This City, which features Lupe Fiasco and his lead single off of his first solo album, Soul Punk, and it is HAWT!

LOVE the visuals, and we're REALLY feeling this sound!

Let's face it, Fall Out Boy had turned into pop pretending to be punk by the end there, so we're thrilled that he's just embraced the genre and really found his own, really neat style in it!

Well done, sir!

Gary Newman much? If the "better side" is being a fucking poser, then yeah…I guess it's better.

I like the song. I don't want to call him a poser bc I like all sorts of music, does that make me one? Or you one?

This is not his debut solo single. He released a song called "Spotlight" from his EP in the beginning of the year.

Re: Mimi the Magnificent – i cant say i dont know you, you might be or you might just like all types of music. but when a star comes out and embodies/ goes 100mph with a trend (punk outifts, topics songs styles, personas) then changes with every change thats popular in the music biz, then makes a drastic change to yet another popular at the time trend well 1 and 1 equals 2. the guy is posing to make cash. you would blind to no realize a huge portion of the "artists" out there are just playing a role and "posing" in whatever character, style etc to make money and get fame. the day when a artists did it for soul and if lucky and talented made a career out of it are long gone…

I wouldn't mind him as a pop artist if he had better writing. "this city is my city and I love it" sounds like it was written by a 8 year old. His voice is decently tuned in for the pop sound, but this writing is just annoyingly bad and childish. I also have to agree that he seems to be chasing the money train by switching genres.

What would you know about punk music? Your taste in music is questionable at best.

These comments are so hilarious. He's a singer from a band who likes different kinds of music, and is now exploring something new, if you don't like it, don't listen to it. If he was trying to pose as something and just make money he could have been like plenty of other artists out there who literally sing about nothing, have no vocal talent, and don't play instruments, and that's not him- he's honestly talented. and perez talking about punk music is humorous as well
