Boo! We really thought she'd make an AMAZING addition to this cast!

Despite reports suggesting otherwise, Emma Watson will reportedly NOT be portraying Cosette in the upcoming adaptation of the musical Les Misérables, at least according to lead Hugh Jackman!

Luckily, however, the actor has confirmed that Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe will be taking on the roles of Fantine and Inspector Javert, and Helena Bonham Carter is still in negotiations for Madame Thernardier!

Excellent! This cast is seriously top-notch!

But seriously, we had our hearts set on Emma!

Here's hoping that they either find just as lovely an actress for the role - OR consider casting her!

Boo? You are such a phag!

Well there goes my interest in this movie. I'm a big fan of the book, but they aren't casting anyone who really appeals to me with the exception of Helena Bonham-Carter.

So far, Helena Bonham Carter and Hugh Jackman are the only reasons I have any interest in this project.

Aside from being a girl what qualifies her to play Cosette??? The other 3 cast members have all had previous singing experience (although HBC really only trained for Sweeney Todd and frankly wasn't that good).

Here's hoping they cast someone who can actually sing, instead. We don't want another train-wreck like Mama Mia.

Okay, I don't understand how Anne Hathaway still has a job. She is BORING. I like Hugh Jackman. I'm okay with Russel Crowe. Im' not too thrilled with Helena either. She's too small for Thenardier. Madame Thenardier is supposed to be HUGE and intimidating. I'm not sure she can do that. But Anne freaking Hathaway? She's going to ruin my favorite character in the whole story.

    Re: lufflyness

She's fluent in French and looks the part. Plus, Emma can sing.
And of all the other young actresses rumored to be considered for this film she's the only one who realistically makes sense. Lea Michele, Lucy Hale (no idea who this is), that girl from Heroes, etc don't look the part or have the talent to do it.

Congratulations to Emma Watson for staying out of the Andrew Lloyd Webber Swamp.
