Leisha Hailey Kicked Off Southwest Flight For Kissing Her Girlfriend!!

Wow. This is as ridiculous as it is sad!!

Earlier today L Word actress Leisha Hailey was escorted off her Southwest Airlines flight because she was a threat to safety KISSING HER GIRLFRIEND!!

Before the couple was asked to leave the plane a flight attendant told them Southwest was a "family" airline.

Guess no one told her that families show affection! OR that refusing to give service to costumers because they're openly gay is DISCRIMINATION!!

After the women were forced to exiting the plane the couple started tweeted their frustrations. Leisha's girlfriend, Camila Grey, started it off saying,

"So we've joined the ranks alongside @BJAofficial and @ThatKevinSmith for being kicked off an @SouthwestAir flight, this time for being gay. @SouthwestAir We didn't know intolerance and discrimination for slouchy pants, being overweight or being gay was part of your family values"

Minutes later @Leisha_Hailey shared her account of the event:

"I have been discriminated against by @SouthwestAir. Flt. attendant said that it was a "family" airline and kissing was not ok.This is an outrage. I demand a public apology by @SouthwestAir and a refund. Hate is not a family value. I will never fly this airline.

We were escorted off the plane for getting upset about the issue. @SouthwestAir endorses homophobic employees. No one made her accountable."

Now the ladies are calling for a boycott of the airline. The actress wrote:

"Since when is showing affection towards someone you love illegal? I want to know what Southwest Airlines considers as "family".

I know plenty of wonderful same sex families I would like to introduce them to. Boycott @SouthwestAir if you are gay. They don't like us."

The icing on the cake? Leisha says she has the whole insodent caught on camera!!

"Did I mention to @SouthwestAir that I have a lot of their actions recorded on audio and video? RT #boycottSouthwest #discrimination"

HA! YES! We would LOVE to see that!

This whole thing is a total embarrassment, not only for Southwest but the progression of our society.

I find it funny, the first thing these ladies do when they get kicked off the plane is tweet.

  2. 2

Being gay doesn't give you a free pass for PDA anytime you please. I am sure it was more than just a cute little peck on the lips. You can't swap spit in public and expect people to be ok with it. I don't want to watch ANYONE kiss on a plane…gay or not. She got waht she had coming.

  3. 3

DRAMA QUEEN! Seriously, were they kicked off because they are gay, or because they were showing too much PDA? If it's strictly because they are gay then this is awful, but I really doubt thats the case. Considering the amount of gay flight attendants there are these days, I just seems a bit drastic. I'm guessing she made a scene when asked to stop.

  4. 4

I would like to see the video/audio they have recorded. I mean, I've given my bf kisses on the lips before and can't fathom a flight attendant saying anything about it let alone kicking me off a plane. Can't wait to see SW response.

Fact is they are still the cheapest airline and people will still fly them regardless of their terrible customer service strictly for that reason.

  5. 5

OH… of course this is breaking news. Jesus Christ.

  6. 6

And like a cpl of Gay b!tches they are whining like babies, proving everyone one right and setting the movement back years. Funnily enough they had their spontanious show of affection recorded!!! Staged much??? What SSA should've said is that its a Majority Flight and the majority just dont wanna see that shiz. Get a grip! paid of Z list idiots.

  7. 7

    Sure… and that's the entire story. Can't believe there isn't more to it… :-/

  8. 8

Why is this now classified as breaking news.

Why wasn't it breaking news when that drunk jackass got kicked off his flight because he pulled down his pants, and urinated all over the place?

  9. 9

"The icing on the cake? Leisha says she has the whole insodent caught on camera!!"

    Learn to spell incident please.

  10. 10

I'll withhold judgement until I see a video of what transpired.

If they were kicked off for being gay, not okay.

If they were kicked off for extreme PDA, I get it. By "family" airline, Southwest MAY have been making reference to extreme PDA in front of the other fliers, regardless of gender. That's just inappropriate whether gay straight or bi.

Maybe they were asked to cool it and freaked out on the flight attendant, and they were booted for throwing a fit.

But if they were booted off for being gay, that's definitely not okay.

As I said, I won't play judge/jury/executioner until I hear/see all the facts … so far, we only have anecdotal evidence from one side.

What's the other side of the story? Let's hear from some other passengers. Let's see a video. Let's hear an audio tape. Let's hear Southwest's side too.

  11. 11

I read another article about this same instance how they were opening making out on the plane and they were told to tune down the pda and when they ignored them they were then told that it was a family airline and had to leave. So that to me sounds like it was b/c of too much pda in general. However, now the story is twisted to a gay agenda and the truth will never be known.

  12. 12

"OR that refusing to give service to costumers because they're openly gay is DISCRIMINATION!! "

FYI that they're actors, not "costumers".

  13. 13

Re: Samtra – Thats interesting, now i'm curious to see the video.

  14. yeez says – reply to this

She says in her own tweet that she was kicked off for KISSING. Stop being ridiculous.

  15. auds says – reply to this

Before you & these two dorks who clearly have nothing better to do with their time sit around and call discrimination, I'd like to know exactly why they were kicked off the plane. If they were making out and groping each other & they were asked politely to stop (as it says they were to begin with), then they should have stopped and behaved themselves. If it was just a peck or two and they just booted them off the plane THEN it's discrimination. Sorry, but couples making out in public, gay or straight, are absolutely gross. I don't know what is wrong with people who can't keep their PDA down to a minimum or just keep it at home.

  16. 16

wow now this is just ridiculous..wth southwest you're gathering quite a rep.. smh

  17. 17

That would be like me being kicked off plane because I did a quick kiss to my black husband before take off for a safe flight etc!!! I can't stand all of this hatred in this world.

  18. 18

By their own admission, They were not escorted off the plane for kissing. they were escorted off for getting into a heated arguement with the flight attendant. And "family" means that it is an institution that is G-Rated, a place for all ages. Every type of family has the right to choose WHEN and HOW their child is exposed to ANY type of sexuality or sexual behavior. that's what is right and courteous. i never, ever use tongue or get handsy with my HETEROsexual partner in the presence of children- and thats a fact.I see no reason gays should be more entitled than anyone else.

  19. 19

I would assume that another customer complained about them to the flight attendant, who tried to keep the peace by telling the couple to tame it down. Then most likely they played the homophobe card.

  20. 20

Camila is not Leisha's girlfriend; that's her bandmate. Camila is not who she was kissing…

  21. 21

this is BREAKING NEWS? wtf. the gays are getting so annoying lately.

  22. 22

speculation isnt "breaking news". i'll wait until i see the video until i have any comment - although the video is probably of them getting kicked off, not what actually got them the boot. odds are it was a little too mich pda happening and thats why they got kicked off, not because thier gay. not trying to hate but i love how the gay community jumps straight to discrimination when things like this happen. if it was a straight couple who got kicked off for PDA, you wouldnt hear a word about it.

  23. 23

"INSODENT" - ROFL! The only thing funnier than this story, which seems like a desperate attempt by some Class D celeb wannabes to get their names in the news, is the poor proofreading on this site. The poor grammar and spelling get worse with every week.

  24. 24

Good for Southwest!!! Next time I fly, they'll be the first on my list.

  25. 25

I have a feeling there is a lot more to this story than them being kicked off just for being gay. Let's hear from the airline and other passengers before we immediately take their side.

  26. 26

This is what we will have now, just like the black card, GAY CARD!! Get back in the CLOSET!! A-holes!!!

  27. 27

I have to echo the rest of the comments here. I don't care WHO it is, if you're making out an airplane and have been warned, then I doubt it has anything to do with them being gay. Let's hear Southwest's side, and then let's make a judgement, shall we…..

  28. 28

Maybe they were groping each other and being inappropriate. I'm sure this story has been twisted a few times before we get to hear about it.
I really hope they were not escorted off because they are gay, but I also hope they have enough sense not to over-do the PDA's - they make most people uncomfortable - no matter who is doing them.

  29. 29

I think if this was a guy and girl who got kicked off the flight for too much pda then you would be like gross get a room but because they are gay you are all for the pda. I highly doubt they were kicked off for an innocent peck. If I saw two people full on making out on my flight, I would be disturbed, gay or straight. you are on a plane its not like you can walk away from it.

  30. 30

whats the difference between radical islamists, and radical gays…..nothing!! every day is an opportunity to shove it up your a…and everything that happens to you is cause your gay or a muslim.

  31. 31

I find it hard to believe that they were kicked off the flight due to discrimination. You're on a plane for God's sake, and whether its gay or straight extreme PDA is a not appropriate. A peck…fine..full blown out make out session in row 7 is NOT. And if its THAT SERIOUS…why would you tweet about? take it to the appropriate lawyers and GLAAD and let them tweet that bullsh*t. and yes..this is coming from a GAY woman.

  32. 32

I'm not going to jump into any conclusions until I hear what the airlines say, as from what I read here, I see no evidence of homophobia on their side. The person on that part, could have maybe been a prude or the couple could have been swapping spit as well. I was not there so I cannot be the judge anything but being discriminated over your sexuality isn't rare either.

  33. 33

This is so stupid! They were NOT kicked off for being gay! They were escorted off because when asked to stop making out (as I have seen flight attendants do to HETERO COUPLES AS WELL) they immediately thought they were being targeted when in fact, they were just being asked to refrain from PDA. No one wants to see that from straight or gay couples. THAT is what is meant by family airline. SWA doesn't care if you are gay straight bi lesbian whatever! They just want everyone to be comfortable. These girls made it a situation that it did not need to be.

  34. 34

you really think in this day and age that a company as public and as huge as Southwest Airlines is going to openly discriminate against gay people? Really? Get a clue.

  35. 35

so very sad for all of us

  36. 36

Wow, there are a lot of haters leaving comments on here. I'm pretty sure if you and your loved one got kicked off a plane for something as ridiculous as being gay, or showing affection in public, you'd tell people about it, too. I've never even HEARD of anyone getting kicked off a plane just for kissing.
And, I have been watching these two perform for years, and have no doubt in my mind that they weren't doing ANYTHING that any other normal couple would do in a public place. Christ… just because they are gay, doesn't make them perverts..or prone to doing anything tasteless in public.

  37. 37

When I hear things like this, it's almost as if I cannot believe that this kind of stupidity still exists. But then again, I look at the world, and it makes perfect sense. It's a shame that someone as lovely as Leisha will experience hatred and humiliation because of her sexual orientation, and someone as foul as Charlie Sheen will get praise and love despite abusing his partners and neglecting his children.

  38. 38

did I miss the breakup of leisha and nina??

  39. 39

People don't like gays or view them as equal. Deal with it!

  40. 40

I'm sure people would have reacted the same way had it been a hetrosexual couple. PDA”s are usually frowned upon in public, especially when one has a captive audience. So Perez please get over yourself and your indignity.

  41. 41

Wow…Southwest has gone too far. I love the way a story about two people kissing turns into extreme reactions reserved for people humping in the aisles. Gay affections is not a crime. Even if Southwest thinks so.

  42. 42

She even said it, "We were kicked off for getting angry about it." NOT BECAUSE THEY WERE GAY!

  43. 43

Re: JazzyM – They got kicked off for being upset about it! She even said it! They probably made a scene, which lots of people get kicked off for making a scene!! THey have spun this into being "because they were gay." They may have been asked to stop kissing, but a stewardess may ask a straight couple to do the same thing in the same circumstnace!

  44. 44

This article was overblown and taken WAY out of context. It had nothing to do with them being gay. You can't have a hot and heavy make out session on an airplane and expect people not to complain. Southwest should not be getting bashed here when they did not discriminate. It's like the two girls were trying to make it an issue about gender and equality when the flight attendant would have said the same thing to a male and female making out on a plane.

  45. 45

In other breaking news….Perez Hilton FINALLY got his head out of his own ass and found out the facts of the case before commenting. And figured out how to proofread! What a great day for America!

  46. 46

1st i and or are right next to each other on the phone… and if its touch screen its easy to touch the wrong key and if your pissed off then you will mistype a word. 2nd if it were a person of a different race then they would have played the race card. 3rd if you dont like perez hilton get off his page. Gay civil rights is the new movement now just as women had their rights and blacks had their rights. step away you nazis and let this right pass also!!! Thank you!!!

  47. 47

I have mixed feelings about this. To me, out depends on extent of kissing. I don't care if you're gary, straight or bi…I could care less. However, I don't want to see you and your significant other mac-ing out in front of me and my kids. Now to give a subtle kiss and be affectionate to me is completely acceptable, but be tasteful people. We really don't want to see your junk in front of us…especially when we are forced to do so…like on an airplane
