Desperate Housewives Has Lowest Season Premiere Rating Ever

Harsh.

The season opener of Desperate Housewives' last season premiered to its lowest ratings ever.

It seems like TV viewers are more interested in watching football than ladies who are probably a little bit past their prime.

Meanwhile, the series premiere of Pan Am, which aired directly after DH on ABC, had a spike in viewers. According to industry insiders, this is the first time a show has benefitted from Housewives viewership since Grey's Anatomy premiered in 2006. ABC obviously found their matching demographic!

Hate to say it ladies, but, you were great while you were on top, but it's probably a blessing in disguise that this is your last season. Let's make your last swan song a good one.

I'm surprised that people have been interested in the show this long. It's just more shitty (somewhat) reality television.

desperate housewives was pretty bad last night. the writing was very off. the humor was not there. its like the writers simply didnt care . if they want the show to be on one last season, at least they should try to put out something decent. pan am was average. ill watch it a few more times to give it a chance and if it doesnt pick up, then im out.

it was as if they weren't even trying… The best (or worst) part was when the car thief conveniently steals the car… It was really aweful… They should have never got rid of Eddie.

Please. This show jumped the shark about 5 years ago.

    I am over it. Next.

Now Perez Hilton seems to be delusional enough to believe he is the arbiter of what is and is no longer in its prime. We live in a world of seriously lowered standards.

used to be a huge fan - never missed it
but last season I watched maybe half of the episodes and I watched maybe 5 minutes of the season opener before I turned to Body of Evidence…ironically staring Dana Delany!
DH was a terrific unique fun show but once it got to about 4 years, don't know if it was me or the show itself, but the freshness went stale
still - it did give a few years of fun TV

And we are surprised, why? This show is as old and hackneyed as the women on the show itself. This is the last season of this show thankfully.

The episode that just aired was terrible. I was completely bored. I kept watching hoping that something interesting was going to happen and it never did. Marc Cherry made his money so I don't think he really cares anymore. It seems that way by just remembering last season's boring episodes and now the premiere of this season.

When I watched I had forgotten what had happen on last season they shouldve had a few episodes to refresh our memories. This show isnt Dallas but I like it still the same.
