Controversial Director Roman Polanski To Tell Life Story In New Documentary

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooFilm Flickers

roman polanski to tell all in new documentary

We'd be pret-ty surprised if he's got anything to say that will make us see his side of the story.

Earlier this month we learned that Roman Polanski was getting honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Zurich Film Festival, despite his awful criminal track record

And yes, that track record includes a guilty plea to having "unlawful sex" with a 13-year-old girl. Horrendous!

Now, we've learned that a new documentary titled Roman Polanski: A Film Memoir has debuted, in which Polanski tells his side of the story with regards to his VERY controversial life.

If his crimes were a bit less deplorable, we MIGHT be interested in seeing this film and getting his side of it, but we're just not sure we can see past what he did enough to give him that chance. A bit too disgusting for us!

What do U think? Will U hear Roman Polanski out and watch his new documentary film???

His wife and an child was murdered by the Mason Family. Now that's no excuse, but do expect someone to get over that?

I can't wait until that piece of human garbage dies.

I think there is no doubt that this man had a difficult life, HOWEVER, if he's going to try to justify what he did - drugging and raping a 13 year old girl - I have no interest. If it's about his life prior to that, fine. But, I have a feeling he's going to try to spin it to - see . . . because I had such a hard life I did the things I did, it's not my fault. He's clearly unwilling to take full responsibility for what he did.

Re: perez posse member 777 – Agreed. If he owned up and took responsibility and faced the consequences I think people might be more understanding of his background. But I think he still believes it was no big deal.

Tell it like it is Polanski.

I absolutely want to see this new documentary to hear his side about the young girl whose mother brought her to his house that day! Set up, framed, had no idea she was only 13? Why did she want the charges dropped? His movies ARE truly amazing and I want to hear his side!

    You too.

Perez, you mean to say that there is no redemption?
    And you call yourself christian?
    Shame on you!

This will shed some light on his life before film-making- as a camp counselor, school gym teacher, day care provider, playground aficionado.

He's had an interesting and tragic life. Any documentary has to include his fleeing the US after he pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with a minor, and his arrest in Switzerland, and their refusal to extradite him. The Swiss extradite criminals all the time, why not in this case? Because he's a talented film maker, and Americans are so Puritanical!

    what an ASSHOLE!

He DRUGGED and ANALLY raped a 13 year old…. there is NO redemtion for that especially when you run away and hide

  13. 13

Yeah, I'll be skipping this. His life's been hard, but that's no excuse for raping a 13 year old after drugging her. He's unapologetic about it and now is going to try and explain it away. No thanks.

I'm really interested in seeing this. He's had a tragic and fascinating life.

firstly this was teh 70s who carried ID with them. secondly what kind of mother would let a 13 yr old model nude. we all know these models do not look their age, 11 year olds are becoming sexually active, and at anytime mistakes can be made. the fact that this girl retracted her testimony means there was something going on that only her and her mother are aware of. my guess is extortion.

  16. 16

was this 13 year old even a virgin? anyway even she does not want to press charges against him anymore - its more a matter of principle for USA - to get things done the way they want them to be done.. I hope it will never happeh

  17. 17

well, the 13-year old girl was´t that innocent when polanski met her. she was already experienced! polanski said she looked and acted like an 16-year-old and that he never had done this if he knew she was 13. despite of that: what´s up with the girl´s mother? she left her girl alone with a famous director that was known for his interest in young girls. the girl´s mother wanted OF COURSE that the girl gets in touch with polanski somehow, so the girl could get some fame of her own. this is odd!

and by the way polanski didnt hide and run away. he accepted the delict and wanted an appropriate fine but he got an unfair deal. the whole case was built of lies and presumptions. so, if you´ll watch that documentary you´ll hear all of this. for me it´s clear: this man is not disgusting at all.

Re: trullesand – Blaming a 13 year old girl AND her mother makes you disgusting!

  19. 19

Re: trullesand – Polanski absolutely did run away. After you plead GUILTY to a crime, which he did, you don't have a say in your sentence and or whether or not YOU think it's fair. "He wanted a fine", why don't we "fine" rapists and murderers, since that is what they would prefer too!

he should never have lived this long…watta absolute pig scumbag…human garbage is an insult to the garbage part…
