When Barbra Streisand Tweeted Lea Michele
This is what Twitter was created for.
Yesterday, Lea Michele lived out a dream so few of us get the chance to do - she got to have a "conversation" with her idol, Barbra Streisand!
Earlier in the week, during one of the few breaks the poor girl gets from working sooooo hard, Princess Lea tweeted that she was watching an episode of Hoarders and the guy had an original Barbra Streisand doll. She mentioned how much she would like one for herself and that set a string of tweets in motion that could only be considered magical.
It's quite rare to get a direct message from Miz Streisand, so it was a thrill for ALL when she sent a tweet personally to Lea, saying:
"Forget the guy. I'm sending you the doll. But I want a Lea Michele doll when it comes out!"
Okay, no joke, we're crying sitting here just thinking about how overjoyed Lea must've felt getting that message. Our hearts are overflowing with emotion!
Of course, Lea responded back with such jubilation, you could practically get a contact high just from reading her tweets! Then, her fellow Gleeks joined in on her excitement, thanking Babs on behalf of their friend, whose life was made by less that 140 characters.
It's moments like these you take with you forever! Hope Lea is savoring this just as much as we are for her!
