Can You Believe This X Factor Auditioner Is 59!?!

| Filed under: Music MinutePaula AbdulNicole ScherzingerSimon CowellX Factor

Whaaaat?

This man is 59!?!

No way! That's incredible.

Unfortunately, that seems to be Leroy Bell's only X Factor.

His performance wasn't amazing. Definitely not bad. But we've seen better.

Nice look, though!

there is no way he's 40, a), and b), what do you mean it's his last x factor, he got 4 yes's?

  5. 5

I could believe it. I've known quite a few people in my lifestyle who look waaaay younger than their age or waaaay older than their age.

You are OBSESSED with the X- factor . . .

Amazing genes! Even with all the plastic surgery she's had, Madonna will never look as young as this guy.

LeRoy Bell is an amazing musician. I've seen him and his band (LeRoy Bell & His Only Friends) perform around Seattle and they are incredible. I'm happy to see him on X Factor and I hope he'll go really far in the competition - he definitely has what it takes! He has such a pure, soulful voice, and he is really 59!!

Leroy Bell is very well known in Seattle (I first saw him as an opening act for Kenny Loggins about 6 or 7 years ago). I love Leroy with all my heart but he has been a professional recording artist for many years. I just don't think it's fair for him to be on a show that features 12 year old kids singing their hearts out. Google him for more info on where he's been and what he's done … he's been all over the world as the opening act for some of the most famous artists in the world. Leroy … love ya but you don't belong on this show!

Re: IAmSuprWmn – Maybe he doesn't want to be an opening act. Besides, music's a tough go now for master musicians…it really is, unless you're a Steven Tyler, a Robert Plant or a Pink Floyd member. I want to watch this guy unfold and bring what he's got now that I know his history. Go, Leroy.

LeRoy is legenday in many ways. First, with his disco hit "Livin' It Up (Friday Night) as Bell & James. LOVE THAT SONG! Then writing with James, "Mama can't buy you love" for Elton. His uncle, Thomas Bell is a legend for producing such groups in the 70's as The Defonics (La-La-La-Means I love You), The Stylistics (You make me feel brand new) and The Spinners (I'll Be Around). What most people don't realize is that…this is NOT about being an "X Factor"…this is about getting NOTICED!!! LeRoy deserves it. And yeah, I've seen him up close!! He's HOT!
Hey… Everyone on the show is going to benefit from being on there…MAYBE I SHOULD AUDITION!!!
