We cannot emphasize enough how perfect she is for this role!

Check out the newly released photos (above) of Michelle Williams in My Week With Marilyn.

As we mentioned before, the film is based on a diary written by Marilyn Monroe's assistant Colin Clark during the production of The Prince and the Showgirl, and it follows their friendship, as well as Marilyn's relationship with director/co-star Laurence Olivier.

The movie hits theaters on November 4th, and we're VERY excited to see it!

What do U think? Are U convinced that Michelle Williams is a perfect choice for Marilyn Monroe???

    She is to small

Michelle's a terrific actor - I'm sure she'll be fantastic in this role.

  3. 3

    Monroe was a sex slave.

  4. 4

I'm not sold on the idea that she's perfect for this role. but I look forward to seeing her performance. she's a terrific actress and so classy and moral.

Why is everyone obsessed with Marilyn Monroe?? She was nothing but a glorified whore. Ugh, disgusting…

  6. 6

This looks like Marilyn when she did Let's Make Love. Michaelle is a very good actress looks like she can pull it off.

  7. 7

She's not pretty enough to play Marilyn, in my opinion. I bet she will do great, though…

Well, she's almost perfect. She's WAY to skinny. She's what…a double-zero? Marilyn was about a modern size 8 early in her career, and fluctuated between an 8 to a 10 during most of her career.
Michelle is a good actress, though, and I'm sure she'll make us forget that she's a lot smaller than Marilyn was.

    Oscar nomination for sure!!

Terrible casting. Marilyn Monroe was a freaking goddess, the blindex bombshell of blonde bombshells. She could be dressed up or in a tshirt and still ozz sexy more than any other actress that ever lived. Michelle is a good actress but she is plain looking and certainly not beautiful or sexy enough to portray the most iconic blonde in film history

No one can replace Marilyn Monroe, she was one of a kind.
Her skin was luminous, like a pearl in photographs.
    She oozed sex appeal.

  12. 12

She is a little smaller than Marilyn, but I think she'll be all right.

Marilyn wasn't a size "12" like a lot of "curvier" women today try to say. Her modern size would be about a 6 or 7, which is actually pretty petite.

    Re: Beautiful Disaster311

Marilyn was a talented comic actress. She could also sing. Unlike many of todays stars who can't really do anything.

  14. 14

The think is Marilyn was beautiful. This girl is not.

  15. 15

    She's pretty enough.

  16. 16

Horrible casting! Michelle is a GREAT actress, but looks NOTHING like Marilyn. She's thin & her face has sharp features. The pics look like Michelle in a blonde wig.

    I dont see it

Re: jp1988 – I completely agree with you.

Marilyn was so incredible she had major "it" factor not to mention a unique appealing vulnerbility that this actress doesn't come close to having. Monroe was one of a kind, there never has been or ever will be another that even comes close. This actress has brown eyes Marilyn had blue/gray eyes. To me this is way off to try to depict her look.

Poor. Casting. Period. They shouldn't even attempt biographies. Watching Marilyn's old movies, you get the real deal.
