This Song Is Very Very Special! You MUST Watch & Listen!

| Filed under: Listen To ThisJessie J

British singer Jessie J is very talented. A gifted singer and fierce live performer. She's very very talented! However, in our opinion, her songs aren't as good as she is!

With one exception!

Jessie J's song Who You Are is a phenomenal song! Melodically beautiful and lyrically powerful!

The song is just as good as her delivery and it is so poignant - especially right NOW!

Jessie J has decided to make a (very effective) video for the song. Hopefully that means it's the next U.S. single!

Check it out (above)!

Listen to the lyrics closely!

So moving!

Wow, finally I agree with you on something. I love Jessie J, and this song, but her other material just doesn't deliver. But, please Perez, don't jump on the Jessie J bandwagon now, I would hate for her career to end abruptly because you go overboard with posting her stuff.

Also, for those of you who don't know, Jessie's leg has been messed up for a while now, so that's why she doesn't move around in the video.

I love it! She's a lot like Katy Perry in my opinion! Great voice, but chooses all the wrong songs to release, leaving her with the pop tart image, but if people would look more closely they would find a great artist! Congratulations Jessie J, Youre going places!!!!

Re: goingtohell_500 – Katy perry my ass!!! dont insult REAL vocal talent!!!! Just because they may dress a little alike does not mean you should compare the two!

  4. 4

dont really care for the video but this is my favorite song by her!

  5. 5

Lyrics are nice … I could do without the high screeching parts of her singing.

Re: pie107 – Just my opinion, you don't have to agree with it, but i do think Katy Perry is a real vocal talent, and i see similarities between the 2. That's all!

Re: goingtohell_500 – I agree: I saw Katy live in March because my lil sister likes her and when she sung "Pearl" I was like "Wow wait is this a Katy Perry song" She has to do more songs like this and this is the same for Jessie J! When I listened "do it like a dude" I was like "Meh another pop-star…" But she's so better than that

That was song was written to be copied on Glee. Can't you hear it already? The video is a little meh but I understand her foot injury probably kept her from having a huge amount of choreography too.

    I adore this girl

Perez Hilton trying to sound like a music expert… This type of singing is easier than holding a true note. Beyonce gets away with it on whole albums, but with better writing. That's where I agree- JJ is a great performer.

she isnt that good u exaggerate perez

  12. 12

ugh. who sent the music industry the memo that girls should be screaming notes? this is awful. the message is amazing, but shame on all of you for thinking this is singing.

Yeah, her other songs are so bad thats why they are charting high everywhere. You have no knowledge of what is good music. You more then proved that with your where are they now artists signed to your label. All you ever think is great music is the sucky assed techno club autotuned crap.

This song is outstanding!! The video is very simple but that is good as it keeps from overshadowing the song, plus there were limitations due to her broken foot. She is phenominal live, the best live singer out there, and yes that includes Beyonce

Re: CookiexNinja – I couldn't agree with you more. Like nails on a chalkboard, I couldn't even finish the song. It may be a great message but if you can't stand the notes she makes in the song how can you even pay attention to the message…

I'd hardly call this poignant! 1. It's pop music=shallow as a puddle 2. Jesse J is nothing but a Katy Perry rip off artist (and that's not a good thing!) 3. It's pop music!! Not deep. Not poignant. Just half decent lyrics with a half decent beat.

I'm usually a douchebag when it comes to anything Mario recommends, but this one….wow. Amazing stuff. A welcome injection of something awesome for once.

  18. 18

Oh, and I totally agree with SBeckham. Don't over hype this gal, Mario. You're poisonous to longevity. Really. You are.

  19. 19

that literally just gave me chills. its such a powerful message i almost burst into tears

  20. 20

I do like her but my initial reaction was… this is a more annoying version of skscraper, with all the raspy yelling. just saying!

  21. 21

I agree with the first poster, I'm a fan and I have loved her music for a while but you can really hammer shit to death and poison peoples views. Please don't with this!
