Tony Bennett Talks Amy Winehouse

Tony Bennett was with Amy Winehouse during her final vocal recording — a song for his follow up Duets album.

He was on the Daily Show, and revealed that he thought she knew what was going to happen to her:

“She knew that she was in a lot of trouble, that she wasn’t going to live.”

So sad.

The song is beautiful, though, and we're glad she was able to record with him — even if it was for the last time.

We miss you, Amy!

"We miss you, Amy!" HOW FUCKING DARE YOU!! I didnt even know her and that statement from you has my seething. I cant imagine what any one who knew her would think if they read you saying that.

I read an interview with her mum she said that after Amy came back from her concert in Belgrade where she passed out on the stage that she knew that Amy wouldn't live for long that it was just a matter of time before she dies. Which is sad for the mother, but then again Amy was refusing help, none can help her unless she wants it.

The duet with Tony is beautiful - she left us so many wonderful songs. It's so sad that she couldn't overcome her addiction.

Tony should crawl into a hole and stay there

Amy died too young, and I think her REAL fans will miss her. The ones who use her as a prop to make nasty comments about Mario, however, THEY are pissing me off.

Re: StephS41 – Yah I know Mario treated her so good. Calling her a crack whore, making up lies, and best of all wait for it wait for it drawing pee dripping from her skirt. He was so nice.

Bennett, who previously described Winehouse as "one of the great jazz" stars, added: "She was the only singer that really sang what I call the right way."
