Four new movies came out this weekend. None of them are in the top three spots at the box office.
This weekend, Dolphin Tale came in at the #1 spot, bringing in $14.2 million, followed close behind by Brad Pitt's acclaimed flick Moneyball, which brought in $12.5 million. Staying strong despite being 17 years old is The Lion King, who edged out the competition again with another $11.1 million made.
As we said, the newbies didn't do as well. 50/50 with Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt grossed an estimated 8.9 million, Daniel Craig's Dream House opened to No. 6 with $8.2 million, and falling way behind what was anticipated for it, What’s Your Number? with Anna Faris opened to No. 8 with $5.6 million.
That was certainly not the number they were hoping for this weekend! Oh well!
