NJ Governor Chris Christie Will NOT Be Running For President

chris christie not running for president

Hope you had your fun with those jokes, Dave, because the NJ governor is staying right where he is!

Today, NJ Gov. Chris Christie officially announced that he won't be running for President in the 2012 race.

Here's what he had to say about it:

"I have a commitment to New Jersey that I will not abandon. New Jersey, whether you like it or not, you're stuck with me."

"The deciding factor was it did not feel right to me, in my gut, to leave now when the job is not finished."

And on a more humorous note, here's what Christie had to say about the recent wave of jokes regarding his weight:

"I'm not particularly self-conscious about this. It's not a news flash to me that I'm overweight."

"To say that because you are overweight you are therefore undisciplined—I don't think undisciplined people get to achieve great positions in our society."

While we certainly endorse healthy living, we can appreciate where Christie is coming from with his comments.

Maybe he'll have more time to exercise now that he won't have the all-encompassing job of running for president!

Are U sad to hear that NJ Governor Chris Christie won't be running in the 2012 race? Or are U happy about it?

I'm glad. I didn't want to be forced to vote for such an unattractive person.

I like the guy, but with only two years as governor, he lacks the experience to be President. This is the same thing I said about Obama when he ran for President and look how that turned out.

It is good. We don't need a stuffed pig representing our country when the obesity rate is so high.

Re: Gay Republican – because looks makes a person smarter……..loser!

Re: Gay Republican – i guess gay republicans are just as nasty and stupid as straight republicans.

    You're so right, Gay Republican.
I hate ugly people and coupled with fat, it's just too much to contemplate.

this must be a huge disappointment for comedians, talk show hosts, and SNL.

Not surprising at all …. it's so much easier for Christie & others to criticize Pres Obama's leadership & say they would do a better job. Word has it that if Christie ran he would beat the rest of the candidates that are running. So what's he afraid of????

  9. 9

After reading some of the other comments .. it's disturbing that these people are given the privilege of voting at all.

Good! I cannot trust a dude who apparently does not eat well or that does not take better care of himself! I am not fatty bashing at all, however lack of good diet and exercise is usually reflective of an unhealthy mindset….we do not need a republican with those issues running our country for sure…

I like the things Chris Christie says. However, in the time he now has before he might run in 2016, I would hope he would develop a more healthy lifestyle. If he would lose weight, I will feel a lot better about him being in the White House. Right now he is a heart attack waiting to happen.

Too bad. Two years experience in an executive branch position is more than we got in 2010. And it shows.

Christie would have failed on the manmade global warming question.
Deal killer. Don't need to follow Europe over the cliff, if we can help it.
Ask Gingrich…he's paid a huge price to sit with Nancy Pelosi on that couch.
    -
Christie's not a Conservative and barely a Republican.
He's confusing because of his union stance, but we are not fooled by him.
    -
Our Republican establishment DC insiders are scared, just like the Dems, of losing power to an ousider like Herman Cain or a Sarah Palin.
They're the group that is pushing for Christie, or Ryan whomever else, just in case their heir apparent, Mitt Romney doesn't get the nomination.
    -
They're all one big Party, for themselves, not for America.
It's why we want the most Conservative of the bunch to do the right thing.
An ousider with executive decision making experience.
    An American that loves America.
Not a President that hangs with Black Panthers.

LOL, the only thing this FAT PIG is running after is the ICE CREAM truck!!!!

In an era of increased awareness of bullying, I am appalled at some of these comments and the late night jokesters fat jokes. I am overweight, as are a lot of the citizens of this country. I am not proud of it. I don't know many people that are. How can it be said that it is not acceptable to bully people over their sexual preference, but if you're overweight you're free game. Both are bullying and are hurtful to people. What's it going to take? Some overweight teens committing suicide for people to realize that hate in it's many forms is not acceptable.

Too bad he is not running for President, The crap currently in the white house is such a joke. USA you voted for it, deal with it until November 2012 and then kick the F out of him!!

Re: Destroza1 – and who would you suggest take obama's place?

  18. 18

He sucks. New Jersey hates him as an entire state. I'm GLAD he's not running for president. His policies in general stink, and I cant WAIT until he's done.
