The Playboy Club Has Been Cancelled, House Ratings Down

| Filed under: TV NewsPlayboyBusiness Blitz

playboy club ratings down

It was bound to happen sooner or later.

The monday night ratings are in, and both House and The Playboy Club's numbers were down.

Fox's House premiered with 9.8 million viewers and 3.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is down from last year's premiere, which landed a 4.2 rating in that demo.

As far as Playboy is concerned, the NBC show was finally AXED after the ratings fell AGAIN, this time dropping 8% in its 10 p.m. time slot with 3.4 million viewers and 1.2 rating

Doesn't seem like House has TOO much to worry about here, but The Playboy Club has officially lost the good fight against the ratings, as well as the Parents Television Council (PTC).

What shows did U watch last night? Will U miss The Playboy Club?

Oh Gee I though House came on FOX! You dumbass

  2. 2

i actually was liking the show
hate to see it go without seeing where it was leading up to
stupid PTC im sure there are more 'degrading' shows on tv
i cant really even say i found the show to be degrading

  3. 3

I watched 10 minutes of the pilot and deleted it. ZZZZZZZZ

  4. 4

I actually thought the playboy club was kind of good…not acting good …Like camp(silly). I don't get why they only got 2 shows?

  5. 5

Kind of sad the Playboy Club got cancelled…I actually enjoyed it. I thought it had possibilities and it was entertaining.

All these copy shows are not going to make it. It's just like reality tv with their copy cat shows on other networks. It dilutes the shows and separates the viewing audience. KingKoppa… it says that House is on FOX. You called them a dumbass…?? That's funny.

  7. 7

Your other posts says HOuse had a strong debut. Dumbass.

Ha ha ha it was only a matter of time. I watched both shows and cringed at his bad wanna-be-Don-Draper act. Horrible. It was like that other cancelled show VEGAS but trying to be Mad Men. That's what Eddie gets for being a jerk, and a poser.

I must of have been one of the few that watched Playboy Club - I found it entertaining. Shame networks only give the new shows a couple weeks and then cancel. Probably another asinine reality show going in its place.

I don't understand why they don't give shows more of a chance these days. What would it hurt to air the episodes that have already been filmed? I actually enjoyed the Playboy Club. The way it ended last night is not fulfilling to the viewers. I guess the lesson is to not watch anything new until you are sure it will be picked up for a second season. Why waste your time? As far as the PTC goes… who cares what they have to say. Parents should control what their children watch. Plus, it came on at 10 p.m. so kids should be in bed by then anyway. I didn't find The Playboy Club degrading or "over-sexed" at all. There are far worse shows on TV.

NBC gave up on The Playboy Club too soon. it wouldnt have hurt to air the rest of the episodes they had taped and see what happened from there. it had a decent cast…it just needed some better writers..that show was definitely a grower.

Hey Eddie, looks like your ADULTERESS & BULIMIC WIFE Leann will have to continue making your Alimony & Child Support obligation

    YOU LYING, CHEATING, LOSER…

  13. 13

Hey Eddie, when you sold your Soul to Satan for fame didn't you know that Satan is The Great Deceiver….HE LIED!

  14. 14

The Playboy Club should have been on HBO.

  15. 15

PBC had too much plot with bland actors. Had the actors been a little more exciting, the show would have been really good.

  16. 16

Any show Eddie is on is GUARANTEED TO FLOP; take note producers & advertisers….

  17. 17

boooo!! it was so good!!! WAY better than Pan Am…i don't even get what that show is. Just noise…

  18. 18

Too bad. The Playboy Club was a good show. It wasn't even about what many people assumed it would be about. I'll miss it.

  19. 19

Yeah, the stupid show starring the loser, cheater who is married to his fugly-mugly wife got cancelled!!!!! Oh boo-hoo! LMFAO!!!!

  20. 20

Re: vanhelsing bride – totally agree.

  21. 21

Kinda sucks I enjoyed watching it , NBC should atleast air the rest of the episodes already filmed

@ Pam's Just-Reduced Silicone Breasts u sound as if ur his exwife talk about major grudge against the guy. Hes not a bad actor a bad husband maybe but not a bad actor

  22. 22

I liked it too. The Bunny Mother was great!

  23. 23

i couldn't even get through the first episode…

  24. 24

GLAD TO SEE IT GO, f$cking sexist junk!

  25. 25

I thought the show would have done better at another network like Bravo, Showtime or even E! Network. E! has shows about former Playmates in their own reality shows that was spun off of the Girls Next Door it would have made sense.

  26. 26

I stopped watching House last year. I did sorta watch it last night, but to me it was blah. Too bad, I used to really like it.

  27. 27

Re: ems1603 – They should be protesting shows like the Kardashians, which shows women doing nothing but bitching at each other and spending money. At least the Playboy Club showed hard working, independent women.
Re: vanhelsing bride – I agree! With HBO's ability to air anything, it could have been a fantastic show. HBO could have gotten a great team together and better actors. The NBC attempt was okay, but I knew it wouldn't be picked up for a second season.
I enjoyed the fact that NBC looked at homosexuals in the early 60's as well, and thought that was a great aspect to the show. Too bad it ended. At least Eddie Cibrian isn't on TV anymore.

  28. 28

THIS SHOW DESERVED MORE TIME , IT HAD POTENTIAL TO GO PLACES AND GIVE US INSIGHT INTO THE 1960'S LIKE NEVER BEFORE , I HOPE THEY AIR THE REST OF THE EPISODES , AT LEAST, COMMON NBC
