Classic TV Fans, Rejoice! Robert Downey Jr. MAY Become Perry Mason!

In Robert Downey Jr.'s 2005 movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, RDJ's co-star Val Kilmer played a character named Perry.

Looks like Robert is ready to put the Perry pants on himself this time, because we've just learned that the actor is considering taking on the role of Perry Mason in a big screen adaptation of Raymond Burr's classic lawyer TV series.

Apparently, Robert is putting the project together with his wife Susan, so it sounds like it'll be 100% his decision whether or not he decides to take on the role.

We think he should totally go for it, if he thinks he can handle it without getting TOO burnt out! He's already got lots on his plate with The Avengers, as well as the Sherlock Holmes and Iron Man franchises!

What do U think? Would RDJ make a good Perry Mason???

He has turned into such a pretentious douche since he got sober. Maybe he needs to start gettin high again so he's not so god damned annoying.

He is so ugly and hard to look at. Gross.

I loved the old TV series with raymond burr and cannot imagine it with anyone else. Perry Mason was so iconic for so many of us boomers. Would much rather see it as a TV series ( and I almost never watch TV) but I would watch this.

Re: boston61 – He is sex on legs and much more doable now than back in the day while high on cocaine. But no, he should not play Perry Mason. Some things should be left untouched.
