Ugh, I was there in the theater that day and what you don't see is that SIAMEZE got a 3 minute standing ovation and L.A. Reid told him "YOU ARE A TRUE SUPERSTAR & CONSIDER IT A TESTAMENT OF YOUR PERFORMANCE POWER THAT YOU WERE GIVEN THE LONGEST AUDITION OF ANY CONTESTANT… SOME 10 MINUTES TO BE EXACT"! Simon Cowell then said; "I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CONTESTANT WORK HARDER IN AN AUDITION IN MY LIFE" The song he sang was George Michael's "PRAYNG FOR TIME"!

For the record, the show is called 'THE X-FACTOR', not 'THE S FACTOR', so Siameze has no control over how they choose to edit the final footage we see at home… 3 seconds of a botched note that EVERY contestant hit due to 2 hours sleep the night before, which is why Simon Battle forgot ALL the words to Elton John's song (and still got put through), or the 90% DANCING they chose to show from his first audition, instead of the amazing SINGING he did. Let's give the guy some credit for the showman he is and give him a break over what the microcosm if bad slanted editing we saw.
