SNL is so weak…they had the perfect opportunity to make fun of and expose the idioti street occupier guys as well as a bumbling obama but they choose not to. SNL is so transparent.

Thats a sax not a clarinet. An alto sax to be precise. Kenny G is famous for the sax. squidward from sponge bob plays te clarinet

It's a soprano sax you fucking idiot.

That may have been OK. SNL has only been occasionally funny for the last two decades. Last Saturday night was the worst attempt to entertain I have ever seen on television anywhere by anyone. Every second sucked big time. Much of the cast was missing. If anyone thinks that stupid Wig is ever funny is stupid. She is always annoying.

Re: tarathu – It's actually a soprano saxophone. The alto sax has the curve in it. Honest mistake…same family.

Didn't anyone watch the video/show? The motherfucker is playing a fucking clarinet - NOT a saxophone. Dumb asses.

On a side not, Mark Foster sounds like he's having his balls crushed by a hammer throughout the whole song. What a shame.

Re: Andy27 – GOOGLE SOPRANO SAX. See it? Now watch the video. Yup, now who is the dumb ass here?

That's a soprano saxophone, Perez. In case it wasn't already painfully obvious that you are horribly musically uneducated, it is now. For the record, he's also a total joke among serious musicians.

If Mark Foster was the mumbling front man trying to channel Dave Matthews and Michael Stipe, then this is a one hit wonder band at best. His moves were comical and contrieved at best! The first tune was catchy but I had to turn on the captioning to actually understand what he was saying! Also, why was Kenny G there to begin with? Did the song they were playing hit a roadbump when he jumped in? Yep. No thanks to these guys, even though they seemed to be good kids.

Re: Andy27 – I was a clarinet performance major in undergraduate and graduate school. You could say I'm reasonably acquainted with the clarinet. He is most definitely playing the soprano saxophone. While his tone is absolutely atrocious, it should still be painfully obvious that he's playing the soprano saxophone by the instrument's sound. The differences in physical shape between the instruments, horn angle, finger position, and embouchure being used area also obvious cues as to what instrument he is playing. Congratulations on not only demonstrating how musically uneducated you are, but also being extraordinarily disrespectful toward those who know better than you. I'm sure MIT is clawing at your door this very moment to offer such a scholarly person such as yourself a full tuition scholarship!

He plays a soprano sax. Always has. I see other commenters have pointed this out too. Do your homework!

kenny G gets the smooth jazz cliche all the time and is somewhat goofed on, but as a session player he is fucking amazing and brilliant! steely dan needs to hire him or something. best part of SNL this week.
