I definitely agree about "We Built This City". Ugh…that song sucked. And I agree with pretty much everything else on the list except "Safety Dance" and "Rock Me Amadeus"! Yeah, they were definitly 80's cheesy, but those were fun songs! I'm surprised "Safety Dance" made the list.

Last week's news! …. however, there is no way most of those songs are the WORST of the 80's …. I think this poll was flawed or something. It doesn't make a lot of sense

  3. 3

I agree with the #1 pick 100%. God, I hated that song. I agree with most of the rest of the list too although I am embarrassed to say that I have two of those songs on my iPod right now. Not going to say which ones…..

Totally agree with "We Built This City" as the worst song of the 80s. That one seems to be the one that everyone can agree on.

Bad song for sure. But I liked some of the others. I loved Rick Astly then, and I love him now. And Wham was so fun!

VH1 named this the Most Awesomely Bad Song of the 80s about 7 years ago.

I remember when this song was in high rotation on the radio thinking 'who's buying this shit?' - and I was a kid.

  15. 15

Im surprised that FOOTLOOSE is not on this list AND number one! That was one wretched song!!

Rolling Stone, Corporate Music, and Republicans are stuck in last century band music. They want me to like 60 year old rock. I don't. I like the new music that Rolling Stone won't talk about, has banned, and is afraid of. Post Bands Music - its 3 things, a revolution against what rock/rap/country/pop have become, its back to early rock and roll's simple honesty, directness, and passion with an emphasis on great SONGS, and it's a music that includes all types of music from every place in the world.
(and It's part of the overall peaceful art and media revolution).

Turning Japanese was ridiculous. And I love Falco, always have and always will. (God rest his soul).
