dream house director wanted his name removed from movie

Everybody makes mistakes! Just talk to I Don't Know How She Does It director Douglas McGrath!

Six-time Oscar nominated director Jim Sheridan was NOT pleased with his movie Dream House, and we've just learned that he tried to remove his name from the box office bomb.

A source close to the movie's production claims that director Sheridan deviated from the screenplay and used an "improvisational method," which resulted in a "disastrous test screening"…and it was all downhill from there.

Sorry you couldn't get out of this one, Jim! Guess Alan Smithee wasn't available! Ha!

Did U see Dream House? Do U think the director should be ashamed of his involvement? Or did U like the movie???

Daniel Day-Lewis is the only reason why his movies have succeeded.

I thought the movie was soo good. The problem people seem to have with the movie is they went in thinking it to be a totally different thing then it actually was, as did I. But in the end the movie was still awesome, I think atleast.

I thought the movie wasnt so bad! The only problem was I had watched the preview before hand and it pretty much gave everything away! lol Oh well was still a good one anyway, probably wouldnt watch it again, but still good :)

Is it really that bad? There was a trailer for it before Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark the other night and it looked alright - trailer gave away the entire plot though which seems like a shame.
