Uh-oh! Does this mean we're getting the prequel treatment!
Although Sigourney Weaver's character apparently died at the end of Avatar, she recently said that she'd be returning for the follow-up flick, prompting fan speculation as to how she'll be resurrected!
However, director James Cameron recently announced that we shouldn't "jump to conclusions" about her role, nor should we about what to expect from the sequel!
"Well, I don't want to disabuse her of that fantasy. But have you ever heard of nonlinear storytelling? A lot happens on the planet before she shows up, and before Jake shows up to join her. She's there for 15 years ahead of time. I don't know, but I wouldn't jump to conclusions. I've already said way too much about 'Avatar 2' and '3' here and there, but people piece it together like those voice cameos and tell the whole story! When you have a science fiction series, a science fiction franchise, you're never dead, unless your DNA is expunged from the universe. And then there's always time travel!"
Ha! Very true!
We imagine that regardless of how he figures it out, there will be lots more stories to be told in the Avatar universe, and we're definitely curious to see how they manifest in the new movies!
And a little more Sigourney Weaver, of course, never hurts! Just saying!
What do U think?? Are U excited for Avatar 2 and 3??
