Cloverfield Director Snags Gig On New Twilight Zone Remake!

Oh! Inneresting choice!

Matt Reeves, most well-known for Cloverfield and more recently, his US remake of Let The Right One In, has been reportedly tapped by Warner Brothers to helm Jason Rothenberg's adaptation of The Twilight Zone TV series, which is also being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio!

Apparently, the position was seriously in demand by a variety of different, well known directors, and the final contract negotiations will be underway during the next week or so!

Unlike the last film based on the Rod Sterling classic, which was an anthology, the new project will be more of a science fiction action flick, with a single story linked to the original in tone and aesthetic!

Well, Reeves has certainly proven he can more than handle action, horror, monsters, AND a college-aged Keri Russell unable to decide between two different, if not equally attractive suitors, so we're curious to see what he brings to this one!

What do U think?? Are U looking forward to a new Twilight Zone flick??

Didn't see Cloverfield, but loved Twilight Zone, will be very hard to get the same amount of good writing and special effects (remember the one of the creature sitting on the airplane wing?)

Hold on as long as it's as good as Rod Sterling I may watch. I am an avid Twilight Zone fan. The have a 2 day showing of it on SYFY on 4th of July and New Year's Eve. Love it.
I just hope they do it right. To fans it's all in the mind. Rod did amazing work.

Not sure…..Let Me In was great, the guy can definitely direct, but a lot of series right now (especially re-makes) knock it out of the park for the first couple shows & then fizzle. The movie version was great….maybe this would be a better movie. They are tinkering with a classic, after all.

Sorry no person can outdo Rod Sterling (and his demented way of putting things :) ). This is kinda sounding like a Doctor Who type of show … but with the type of crap that is on TV now it will do well.
