Katy Perry Breaks It Down On The X Factor U.K.!

| Filed under: AnglophiliaKaty PerryX Factor

Sweet, soft and simple! Just like Katy herself!

Over the weekend, Katy Perry performed her new single The One That Got Away on the U.K.'s X Factor. However, rather than perform the track as it sounds on the album, gurlfriend busted out an acoustic guitar and took the song down a notch for a very simple, elegant performance.

Ch-ch-check her out in the video (above)!

So nice!!!

I think she's a great studio singer and she's also good when she decides to sing instead of jumping around the stage, that's when her voice really doesn't work! She should stick with being a singer instead or trying to hide her real talent with switching clothes and crazy stages!

Re: JulieZ – Agreed. Just keep your clothes on and sing.

    gorgeous

She is soooo annoying, but Perez was right about one thing: She is NOTHING if not "simple." Give up the shiteous hair-style too. Gaga can rock funky, she can't.

Re: JulieZ – Agreed also. She really does have a lovely voice, and she can play an instrument. The pre-famous videos I've seen of her on youtube where she's just singing in a bar are really really lovely. It's just all these annoying lollipops and fucking strawberries and bananas that are ruining any credibility she could have as a real singer.

the best performance from her i've seen in a while… but i still don't like her hair, those roots look dredful plus the color it self is blah

This was actually probably her best performance vocally, and this acoustic version is much better than the album version (which is simply just bubblegum pop).

She's becoming an artist. Simple and brilliant.

Honestly, this is the Katy Perry I fell in love with many years ago. She needs to do this kind of music instead of all the dance bullshit. She's a great singer when she puts effort into her vocal skills.

I've read several differet articles from differet news sources that she isn't all that sweet to the commoners and then is best described as offering diva like behavior. Great talent though.
