Well - we wouldn't have seen this one coming!
You may remember Funny Or Die's HIGHlarious video, The Landlord, starring Will Ferrell?
Well, now there's apparently a real life dispute between the comedy website and actual property owners!
According to legal documents filed yesterday in the El Lay County Superior Court, Funny or Die, Inc. claimed they signed a two-year lease to rent space in an office building, and made a $200,000 deposit on the property.
However, when they moved out in September, they asked for the cash back, the building owners refused to give it back, citing damage to the property that wasn't pointed out during the initial walk-through!
Seriously? They made $200,000 worth of damages in two years?
That seems like a stretch!
Here's hoping this all can get worked out - and fast!
In the meantime, enjoy the video again (above)!
