Remember, It's Spirit Day!

| Filed under: TV NewsGay Gay Gay

Today, we honor our friends, family and loved ones who have suffered injustices and ridicule for being exactly who they were born to be. Wearing purple today shows support for gay youth and take a stand against bullying.

Here is The Talks Sara Gilbert's message to the masses about commemorating Spirit Day. (above)

Wear purple! Equality for all!

GAY! Another gay day to give special attention to the gays. How bout a "shut the fuck up and get over yourself" day, that would be great.

Another nose mistake!!!!! Lesson. Get the nose job BEFORE you get famous.

Gays are made by ritual abuse in childhood then amnesia walls within DID alters are created to hide it from them and the masses.

"of who they were born to be"
hence…being trans and changing your sex is a complete act of hypocris.

it saddens me by how people are still so intolerant of others around them.we as people are supposed to love our fellow humans for who they are and not who they go to bed with.the world sucks and if someone finds happiness with another that should be all that matters and not what sex their partner is.i read on here all the hate that faceless people have no problems sharing but if it was their sister, brother or child it might be different.i have wished all my little life for a world that was tolerant and accepting of everyone but it will never happen because so many of you are fueled by hate.it's sad that people can not just be who they are for fear of being harassed, beaten etc. i am so happy that today is spirit day where people can be proud of who they are. and i WILL be wearing purple today

IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE BULLIED QUIT IRRITATING EVERYONE AROUND YOU BY ACTING OPENLY GAY, ITS THAT SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: TORTEZ – that is such a horrible thing today.you are born gay or straight it has nothing to do with abuse.be a little more tolerant of others because it sure seems like people have to be tolerant of you.

Re: MarioMonjack – you shouldn't be bullied for being open about your sexuality.is it right to bully a straight couple for being openly straight?same thing.you aren't in bed with them so why does it matter

Re: andipooh – I'm with you 100%. It saddens me how much hate is in people that they have to spew constantly. I see it as vomit. I wish I had something purple in my closet today but I don't. :( Sending LOVE to you andipooh!!

Re: LisaRose – it's so nice that finally another nice,non-judgmental person has came on here and commented.the thing that bothers me the most about their comments are the ignorance behind their comments. its not like they have to be in their relationships with them.and love goes out to you for not judging people by who they love, but loving because we are all people who deserve it!

Tragedy is tragedy. Special forms dont warrant special days.

Re: tallguy10 – what do you mean by tragedy is tragedy?and there needs to be more days where gay/lesbian/transgender get to hold their heads high and be proud of themselves.and today is one of them
