Tim Burton is designing a very special treat for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC this year!
Will it be a giant Edward Scissorhands popping all of the other balloons? Could it be the Mad Hatter with all of his psychedelic visions surrounding him in balloon form??
WHAT EVER WILL IT BE!?!?!
Awesome! When asked on how he feels about his work being in the parade, the king of monsters says:
It's such a surprise to be asked, and it was great. It's such a surreal thing that you don't even believe what you're hearing. Somebody's trying to play a joke on you or something. It had that kind of feeling.
There's always been something about balloons. You see them deflated and you see them floating. There's something quite beautiful and tragic and sad and buoyant and happy, all at the same time.
Well this will definitely be another reason to make sure our tvs are tuned into the parade! Tim Burton in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade… who woulda thunk it!?!
