We don't want to put too much hype into this as we fear it might be too much to hope for, but seriously, from what we've seen so far of this movie, Vanity Fair is right.

Michelle Williams is FLAWLESS!

Just look at this new poster for My Week With Marilyn! Exquisite! Devine! The world's most beloved blonde bombshell lives again!

We just can't till Michelle starts doing interviews and promotion for this. We really want to hear straight from her how she prepared for this role.

You've come a long way, Jen Lindley!

Michelle Williams is absolutely desperate for an Oscar. Just give it to her already. The same goes for Julianne Moore.

She isn't freaking "FLAWLESS". She looks like a halfway decent impersonator but she does NOT look like Marilyn. I think they need to stop making movies about her because they can never get it right. Mira Sorvino was even worse at looking like Marilyn.

Marilyn Monroe is such an iconic figure and I can't wait to see if Michelle Williams pulled her off as well as she deserves. I also can't wait to see the fashions in the movie because that's the one thing that always stands out to me. Mona May is one of my fav costume designers and she graduated from FIDM!

As much as I don't think Michelle looks much like Marilyn, she's the best one we've seen so far. in Black & White she does look very much like her, but in color not quite so much..her jawline is too different from Marilyn's. But in the end the most important thing is that they have an actress who can most accurately and realistically portray Marilyn, and I feel Michelle can do that. There are many actresses who look more like Marilyn, Katherine Heigl is one, in the face she looks insanely similar to Marilyn and with the right make up, hair and everything else she would probably make the best Marilyn Monroe when it comes to the look.

Marilyn's biggest fear was having any Biopic's done of her. Jean Harlow was her idol as a child, and she was offered the role of Jean Harlow in the official biopic at the start of the 60's. She declined it because she didn't feel she could do Jean the justice she deserved as a real life human being. The movie was terrible, and portrayed Jean Harlow in an awful light that wasn't accurate. Marilyn said then and there that she would turn in her grave if a biopic was made of her one day that did such a terrible portrayal of her. We've seen several awful Marilyn Monroe films over the years but surprisingly there haven't been very many considering the magnitude of her fame and infamy. I feel this film will do her the most justice we've seen but I've got my doubts. The other biopic being done will be an interesting comparison.

Good supporting cast also, looks like an interesting movie.

Valencia. Infamy is a negative word btw…. Second, there IS an actress who has portrayed Marilyn flawlessly in movies by the name of Susan Griffiths. She is a dead ringer naturally and had been featured in many high profile media events. She should have gotten this role but as usual casting people always go the sell put route and pick a name actress to do a bio film and they never quite get it right. It is distracting when the actress looks and sounds border as in Michele's case. JLo was fantastic as Selena and there are a few others but she was not famous like she is now and it was so cool to see an unknown do that role so well.

she did talk about her role… its in the October issue of Vogue

  8. 8

She looks great in this poster. Wish Heath could see her now. Will check out the movie.

Why is Marilyn Monroe considered a role model? I'm so confused. Yes, she was beautiful. She was also insanely insecure, trashy, a drug addict, etc. Basically Lindsay Lohan. I don't get it!

  10. 10

She looks like a way better Marilyn than Ashley Judd did. That was awful!

  11. 11

Ughh people are just not getting it!!! NOBODY will EVER look 100% like Marylin! Get over it! It is a movie about her, and no actress will EVER look like her! Goddamnit! I think Michelle is a great actress and I will watch the movie, and i am sure she will do a great job, just like in any other movie she has done! So people stopn the stupid hating and ranting about her "not looking like MM"!!! how the hell could she? She is not her. Now shut the fuck up.

  12. 12

Why would they choose a B actress for this role? It needs a real talented actress to pull this off.

Re: Paris France – Heath didnt care about her..they got divorced - remember?

Re: Judyg73 – I agree & it's unfortunate that so many people seem to think that an actor must have a strong physical resemblance to any non-fictional person in order to play the role. The role of an actor is not to simply do an impersonation by putting on costumes or wigs that make them resemble another individual. If that was all there was to it, we'd all be million-dollar earning actors. The word "actor" is an ancient Greek term which literally translates to "one who interprets". Therefore, an actor's job is to portray, through interpretation, the individual. Here are some actors who've convincingly and wonderfully portrayed other famous people, and who look nothing like them: Leo Dicaprio/Howard Hughes, Colin Firth/King George, Brad Pitt/Jesse James, Jesse Eisenberg/Mark Zuckerberg, Hilary Swank/Amelia Earhart, Meryl Streep/Julia Child, George C. Scott/Patton, Johnny Depp/Ed Wood, Tom Hanks/Jim Lovell, etc. The list goes on and on. For people who think that actors need to physically resemble someone in order to play them, perhaps those people shouldn't bother going to these kinds of movies, and stick to movies like Booty Call, Transformers & Weekend at Bernie's.

Re: COL Kurtz – Go back to bed troll.

  16. 16

Goes to show how much Madonna has ripped off Marilyn's iconic looks. At first glance, I thought this was Madonna.

  17. 17

Re: Meggie246524 – FINALLY, someone with common sense :P
And, I have seen pics of "impersonators" that come really close to MM, BUT as you said, it needs an ACTRESS who can ACT to portray another person. Tons of make up and lipyncing can be done by any drag queen. Leave the acting to actors. and Michelle is a great one.

  18. 18

her eyes lack the warmth that Marilyn showed because Marilyn loved the camera and it showed in her eyes

Re: COL Kurtz – Haha, desperate! Yes, being nominated for 2 Oscars before the age of 30 really screams B-actress, doesn't it. Oh and btw, they never divorced as they were never married-remember? Gosh, you're even failing as a troll!

Re: Meggie246524 – FU and shut up. Fatso! By the way she is an "actress not an actor.

Re: COL Kurtz – Hi there. Col but they were never married. They just had Matilda. But my remark meant they still cared for each other.

  24. 24

I hope she doesn't get a chance to win an Oscar just because of she looks a little bit like Marilyn.

Re: COL Kurtz – you qualifying as the retard here, yes, I completely understand!
