chick fil a donates to anti gay groups

If you needed another reason to avoid this fast food joint, now you've got one…ACTUALLY, now you've got TWO MILLION!

We've known for a while now that Chick-Fil-A has a deplorable anti-gay agenda, but this is just awful.

According to IRS forms obtained by EqualityMatters.org, the fast food chain donated nearly $2 million to groups with anti-gay agendas back in 2009! WTF!

Here's a breakdown of where Chick-Fil-A's hate money went back in '09:

Marriage & Family Legacy Fund: $994,199
Fellowship Of Christian Athletes: $480,000
National Christian Foundation: $240,000
Focus On The Family: $12,500
Eagle Forum: $5,000
Exodus International: $1,000
Family Research Council: $1,000

Ugh. Makes us ashamed that the hateful fast-food-chain is now marring the corner of Sunset and Highland in Hollywood!

Did U realize that Chick-Fil-A had an anti-gay agenda? Will it stop U from eating there???

You need to quit it with your pro-fruitcake agenda. Now I know where I'm taking the family for dinner tonight. Perez when are you going to realize that even if you take religion out of it, letting some guy poke you where your shit comes out just isn't right?

    Re: fliffie8 – Why isn't it right?

  3. 3

SHAME ON YOUR PEREZ. This post is what is deplorable. You are ALL FOR celebrating differences of opinion only when it is convenient for you. Just because an organization supports the one man one woman family unit doesn't mean they have an agenda. They are expressing their opinions and support for hetero sexual marriage just like you so obnoxiously support everything gay gay gay. So shut the hell up and GET OVER YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!

  4. 4

Coming from someone who lives in the Bible Belt portion of the South, most of these are actually more just Christian organizations that help students in high schools. I don't know all of them, but most are just Christian things (which aren't ALL anti-gay, I'm both Catholic and pro-gay rights),
so don't get too beat up. I don't think every single person who works at a Chic-Fil-A or eats at one is homophobic, just the people who own the company.

  5. 5

Who cares their food is amazingly delicious!! :D

    Re: fliffie8

Fliffie? Is that a new slang word for fluffing? I guess the number 8 means you can handle 8 inches. Good for you!

  7. 7

Hahahaha..Now I know who's getting my fast-food dollars. Hey, little tidbit for you Perez. Whenever your favorite show GLEE shoots in Long Beach, THIS is what they clamor for from craft service. LOL Since you know Ryan so well, just ask him.

this is their belief..you can't knock it just because you don't agree with..plus chick fil a is too good to just give up..sorry

Just b/c Chick-Fil-A donates to other charities doesn't mean that they are anti`gay!
If they didn't hire gay ppl to work in their stores then I might think they are anti`gay.
    So which is it?
I don't eat meat so I won't be going there anyways!

  10. 10

I love Chick Fil A. None of this makes me want to stop eating there. Actually it makes me want to eat there more. Should I stop frequenting businesses that give to support gays, since I myself am straight? See the double standards here?

  11. 11

People are entitled to believe what they want to believe If this organization does not support marriage "equality" and views the sanctification of marriage between a man and a woman that is their right. People need to fight for what they believe in, whether we agree with it or not. All of these "organization" you list peacefully and calmly state their views on what marriage is. You make them out to be martyrs.

  12. 12

There would always be people who are against gays. That sir would never change. Yes Chic-fil-A is owned by a religious group and that's why they don't open/work on Sundays. Don't stress about stuff like this.

  13. 13

VERY EVIL CORPORATION & THE FOOD SUCKS….BARF!

  14. 14

I LURVVVVVVE CHICK A FILET AND WISH THERE WERE MORE YUM YUM YUMMMMMMMOOOOO WHO GIVES A CRAP WHERE THEY DONATE TO AT LEAST THEY DONATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. 15

Hey Perez, are all foundations suppose to be "gay friendly" foundations? You're missing the point that these organizations do a lot of good, and just because it isn't in the name of homosexuality doesn't mean that it's positive. You're sending hate toward this company and these foundations because they have a different view that you, which is exactly what you hate so much. Many of the supporters aren't gay bashers or haters, they simply agree with what the foundation is doing. STRAIGHT COUPLES/FAMILIES/KIDS need support too, not everything is a simple black and white (gay or straight)…this is 2011. Get with it. Different opinions are what makes the world go around, and you should be more about tolerance (AND SO SHOULD EVERYONE). Don't create drama out of something that shouldnt have any. You can support certain causes and other people will support others.

  16. 16

Difference of opinion is one thing. Discrimination is another. Homophobia (in any form) is the latter.

  17. 17

An organization is certainly more than free to hold whatever opinion they want, however, when they donate money to a group that would actively work to oppress homosexual people from marrying one another, that is where a problem lay, and that is wrong. Now, I don't know anything about these groups, or what they strive for, but Occam's Razor sort of indicates to me that something called "Focus on the Family" more than likely does not include gay parents, now if I'm wrong I'm wrong, however, I doubt it.

  18. 18

I love my gays, I love supporting them, but I love FREEDOM even more! God bless Chick-fil-A, their yummy sandwiches and their choices!!!!!!!

  19. 19

One could argue Hitler was entitled to his "opinion" and fighting for what he believed in.

  20. 20

    Re: Demode – Snap!

Why do people who dislike the gay agenda even come to this site when they know how passionate he is about equality?

  21. 21

They can do what they want. I choose not to eat there. Plus, their food is greasy shit.

  22. 22

Its is a privatly owned christian company and I love them for it.. the college you spoke about on another post is a private Christian school. If you don't like it don't go to these places. They wanted GOD out of our schools look whats happend to our PUBLIC schools. You non believing perverts cannot create a human life. You can ONLY have sex with each other for the joy of sex. Stop brain washing our children and get some therapy! I'm not a bible thumper but I am so sick of this gay crap!!! Gay and lesbian history month?? WTF is that about?!? I'm a woman who has sex with a man.. I need a straight history month to celebrate all the women who have sex with men.. let's have a parade too! STUPIDITY!

  23. 23

I have zero tolerance for businesses that give money to hateful organizations and Chick-Fil-A is no exception. I will NEVER eat there!

  24. 24

Re: JimA – BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT CREATE A HUMAN LIFE YOU ARE JUST DOING IT FOR PLEASURE.. to get your rocks off! If you were born this way.. .You are missing chromosomes That is a fact!

  25. 25

    Re: jess1z1 – thank you … seems that posters like Re: jrod91 – just don't see that…
there is a difference between supporting families.. and supporting only heterosexual families.. that's discrimination against a minority..
if it were only white heterosexual families other minorities would be going crazy

  26. 26

Re: SRQCRUNCH – That'sthe rest of the year, honey. I celebrate it too (as a straight woman, let me tell you, I only have sex for the joy of sex). You can take your own advice and stop coming on a site that pushes the gay agenda, by the way.

  27. 27

I know where I'm going for lunch (drools)

  28. 28

And do you realize that NO ONE CARES? This is a gossip page Mario….Not a gay forum. No one cares.

  29. KNH01 says – reply to this

    29

Chick-fil-a is a company that is owned by a Christian, and promotes the Christian faith. Why is it shocking that they donate money to Christian organizations? Just because someone has a belief that is different than you it doesn't mean they are gay-bashers and hate gays. You have said before "it's 2011" and that people's beliefs should have changed by now. When you are a Christian, or a believer of any other faith for that matter, just because things change in this world, does not mean that your faith or values change. People shouldn't have to accept something just because it's the socially acceptable thing to do.

  30. 30

I think you need to do a little more homework on these organizations. This information is not true, and this is a very irresponsible post. None of these organizations' mission is anti-gay. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is actually a very postitive organization that offers support, and sometimes even scholarships to student athletes. Just because SOME (and by no means all) of these organizations choose to promote what they believe is tradition marriage, does not make them anti-gay. Many of them are evolving their message to be more inclusive. If you want people to respect your right to believe what you want, you have to respect their right as well.

  31. 31

That's fine if you don't like that these organizations have a anti-gay marriage stance, but you have to realize that that is not all they stand for. Just because someone donates to these organizations doesn't mean they are supporting just that aspect. I personally know that Fellowship of Christian Athletes is all about giving students the chance to meet others with their same religious beliefs and get involved. These sole goal of these organizations is not to protest gay marriage and Chick-fil-a is supporting the ENTIRE organization and what their MAIN purpose it.

  32. 32

Re: oopsimawesome10 – Bored at work… market is about to close. This is pure entertainment.. a lot like fox news. It's the "OMG.. are they/is he really that stupid… did they just say that?" factor. No one takes it serious just killing time.

  33. 33

I like Chick-fil-A and while i may not agree with any kind of oppression i kind of don't care if a business doesn't agree with gay marriage.

  34. 34

It's their money. They can spend it how they like. Anyone that doesn't agree with your agenda, you make fun of. You can celebrate you without hating on others. Grow up Perez!

  35. 35

thank you chick-fil-a for keeping the pork out of the buns

  36. 36

Re: SRQCRUNCH[/re] so everyone should only have sex for procreation????? guess I should stop having sex since i'm on birth control.. god you uuber christian people are moronic.. get over yourselves.. just because you want to overpopulate this world doesn't mean everyone has to… and yes I'm a mother myself.. just not an ignorant one

    38

Never been a big fan of Chick-Fil-A, but I've now developed a new liking and respect for them. Good to see that business are standing up for morals, values and Christian beliefs without being strong armed by the gay nazi groups. Going to take my family there tonight for dinner!!!

  39. 39

Looking up to see if there's a chik-fil-a in my area.. Don't really care how their food tastes, but I know that my money will be going to support a good cause!

  40. 40

Yes I will still eat there because its prob the best fast food place. I don't care how they feel about homosexuals. I know how I feel and I support them and think they should have the same rights as hetrosexual couples. But honestly what the hell does that have to do with chicken ha

  41. 41

I had chick fil a for breakfast and it was YUMMY! You know how many corporations donate to people you do not like..TONS!! Get over it..that chicken is yummy.

  42. 42

I'll say this again, Chick-fil-a is Christian owned company. So is In n Out. Why does this surprise you?

  43. JimA says – reply to this

    43

Re: SRQCRUNCH – Why is everything about sex? Gays and lesbians in loving partnerships are about families, not sex. And as several people pointed out, millions of straight couples have sex just for pleasure — either they can't have children or don't want children. A woman who cannot bear children is no less of a woman because of it; and men and women who cannot have children are allowed to get married under the law. Why shouldn't I be allowed to get married to my partner of 4 years?

  44. 44

Let the Jesus freaks choke on their slimy, disease-ridden food.

  45. 45

Re: monkeykaka – #14: Yours is truly the stupidest comment ever: What if they donated money to the Hitler Pro-Nazi Foundation? Would that be OK?

  46. 46

Still not going to stop me from eating there! While I disagree with the owner of Chick-fil-A's opinion, I go there for the food and really don't care about the politics of it. They can do as they please. I think it's only a matter of time before gay marriage is legal throughout the country and Chick-fil-A is not going to change that.

  47. 47

Re: Sara42 – Nicely said. These organizations do a lot for families in poverty around the world. Offer health services, build schools and wells, support Boys and Girls clubs, buys clothing etc. It is amazing how anti-christian Perez is. How much does he give to poor children?

  48. 48

Well duh, they are owned by very religious people. Hence them being closed on Sundays.

  49. 49

"deplorable anti-gay" it's called freedom of speech and choice…….

    you are a hater perez.

  50. 50

this is so stupid.. this doesnt say they hate gays!!! this just says they want to help christian because they are christian… stop crying because they dont glorify gays..its owned by christians

  51. 51

    Boo hoo.
They can if they want. And damn is their chicken tasty!

  52. 52

    Never eating there again.!

  53. 53

the food taste good. the end.

  54. 54

Best chicken sandwich, by far, that I've ever had. I wouldn't stop eating here if Saddam, Stalin, Pol Pot, King Leopold, Mussolini were all on the board of directors and our beloved Hitler was handing me my order. Your agenda can kindly go fuck itself. Let their quality speak for itself and stop being a little fairy bitch. By the way, I saw your "cameo" (HA!) on 90210 . . . You may have just surpassed Gaga as my most-despised excuse of a human being. Go CHICK-FIL-A!!! Oh, also, don't want to forget this: any time I've ever been to a C-F-A it's been practically out-the-door crowded. Nobody gives a shit about what you say. Your words have the power to sway absolutely nobody. How sad. Consider suicide, please. I'll even pitch in and buy the rope.

  55. 55

Knowing it pisses you off Mario makes me want to go there that much more.

  56. 56

chick fil a is a christian based restaurant with christian based beliefs. they're entitled to believe whatever they want and to donate wherever they want. plus their food is AMAZING

  57. 57

Chick-fil-a is a private company! They can donate to whatever charities they want to, so if you don't like it, tough! Got eat somewhere else. It's just that simple! I love their food and whatever charities they want to donate to is their business! So Perez, do some research and find a fast food restaurant that supports your causes! But don't be hating on my Chick-fil-a! Oh, and stay away from my waffle fries too!

  58. 58

    Good for them! :)

  59. 59

Re: fliffie8 – Did you know that scientists have determined that the prostate is what can be considered as 'the male g-spot'? Females don't have a prostate, yet males do. Through the prostate men can experience insane pleasure during anal intercourse, very much like a woman does during intercourse. Though, why am I wasting my time? You're not looking to educate yourself. You're looking to spread your hate.

  60. 60

Re: SRQCRUNCH – so are you saying that any time you have sex when it is not possible to get knocked up, it's wrong? so I guess you're only banging your woman on ovulation week? it's wrong for post-menopausal women to have sex too I suppose? sorry, sex is for a lot more than making babies, I shut down my baby factory 10 years ago, but I'm not giving up sex.

  61. 61

You are such a sad excuse for a decent person Perez. What makes me sick to my stomach is this hypocritical bullshit you throw out. "I'm so Anti-Bullying." Bullshit. If this was true, you wouldn't continually BULLY those who DONT AGREE with you. People are ENTITLED to their opinions, their views, the way they LIVE. Even YOU! But why produce the hate? Why not END IT.

If anything, you and your website promote bullying by attacking those who don't withhold your same view point. Good God, man. Let people BE. You can make a point with out attacking another person/group/organization. Then again, maybe it's too beyond you…Keep spewing out the hate buddy…makes you look REAL good.

Let this be the LAST time I ever look at your website.

  62. 62

Love their food, and anyone who has been to a Chick-Fila knows they are closed on Sundays as they believe in giving their employees the day off to go to church ( or if not Christian, to spend however they like). I do not think they are anti-gay.

  63. 63

Re: oopsimawesome10 – He's NOT passionate about EQUALITY, He is passionate about special treatment for himself and other same sex lovers. He is becoming more and more hetrophobic. Bigotry by any name is wrong.

  64. 64

Re: raypearson – I don't understand the theory homophobes throw out when they say that gays want special treatment. You have the right to marry and I don't. You want to keep it that way. Now remind me who is the one who wants the 'special treatment' again?

  65. 65

Re: raypearson – Hetrophobic? So, he's against ALL heterosexuals? Is he pushing for them to not have something that homsexuals do?

And how is calling out the people who promote discrimination bullying?

  66. 66

Must EVERYTHING in life be so freakin' political??? Ugh…over it!!

  67. 67

That's the last time I will visit them.

  68. 68

I hate their nasty ass food anyway. I never eat there, had it once at an airport, poked swore to never eat it again. I haven't & I won't.

  69. 69

Being Christian does not mean anti-gay. I know the head of Exodus International and if you ever talked to him, you would know what their agenda. The main problem I have though is that you are trying to prevent free speech because if someone has a different ideological, theological, or political view than you, then they are "homophobe." How is FCA a "hate organization." I could say that you are a bigot and godless being, but that would be "hating" even though you can say I promote gay bullying just because I have a different view than you. I don't have a problem with your idea, just the way you portray them.
