Quick question: Has James Franco lost his mind?
We only ask because we can't remember a time when we reported a story on him that wasn't tinted in crazy or absurd.
So, many of you might not know what Perfoma is, but it's actually pretty cool. It's a biannual performance art festival held in NYC and while a lot of cool artists contribute, this year the festival has a big name throwing his "artistic genius" into the fun.
On Sunday November 13, James Franco will perform Three Artists in Search of Tennessee, a commissioned (yes, someone gave him money for this) three-part production in tribute to Tennessee Williams. The first part is the best apart; James will lead a seance to talk to the late playwright through a Ouija board. No joke, he's busting out the board and getting that dude back to Earth for a chat. (Note: No doubt someone from Hasbro is being flown in to JFK as we speak, so they can take notes for the Ouija movie! LOL!)
Anyway, once they've got the acclaimed writer out of his postmortems slumber, the next two acts are all about bothering him. The second-act will have female actresses auditioning for the part of Laura in The Glass Menagerie and the third-act, male actors will audition for the part of Tom.
Okay. At what point does Tennessee get to go back to being DEAD?! We're no expert, but we think once a person dies, they pretty much want to be left alone!!!
But back to the living - so, why is James so odd? Really?! Where did he take a stumble and end up on Crazy Way Lane. Remember Spider-Man, James? Remember Freaks and Geeks? What happened to THAT GUY!!!
