Helena Bonham Carter As The Corpse Bride Miss Havisham!

Classic literature never looked so good!

Mike Newell is taking a stab at re-envisioning the Charles Dickinson classic tale Great Expectations and so far, we like what we see! This first look at Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Havisham, the iconic spinster who hasn't taken off her wedding dress since she was left at the alter, has just the right amount of spookiness and sadness to it.

Wait till Voldemort Ralph Fiennes gets a load of her!

Re: litnight – The moron wouldn't know how to read a book.

Charles DICKINSON?!? I'd think even YOU would know who Charles DICKENS was considering he wrote some amazing work. Aside from that, I adore Helena and she looks so etherally, beautifully, tragically beautiful as Miss Havisham.

She is so beautiful in this picture, amazed!

….Dickins, Perez. Honestly, even you should know that.

    But she looks absolutely GORGEOUS!

You know I think you make these errors on purpose. Or you have a Perez sweatshop with a bunch of children churning out stories and English is their 3rd language. Oh Well, I love Helena Love Love

I guess you're a big fan of Emily Dickens' classic poetry, too. Wow…unbelievable. And I'm just a lowly English teacher who gets paid next to nothing for educating the youth of America. You can't even use proper grammar or properly reference one of England's greatest writers.

    Bwahahaha Dickinson!

you crack me up with your illiteracy!

Helena looks awesome and she is one fierce actress! LOVE THE BITCH

Perez, please hire people that can: A) SPELL- B) use proper grammar- C) can get the name of one of the greatest writers in history correct! Please proofread, its ridiculous!

Now THAT is great casting! (But come on - Charles Dickinson? Did you even complete middle school???)

Besides getting the post wrong (Dickens is his last name), I love the dress.

She looks like Faye Dunaway here.

Looks good, I'll go see it (have to reread the book first by Charles Dickens).

She will make that character something special. Just not short yellow school bus special like our favorite Punkinhead and his grammatically horrific blog.

If anyone can pull this off it's Helen!

Okay first: I agree, writing 'Dickinson' is so ignorant and as a whole there are so many spelling mistakes on this site! I mean seriously, this isn't exactly rocket science, and second: Helena Bonham Carter as a sad, demented person - Gee, what a stretch!! If she really wants to impress me with her 'acting chops' then she should do a romantic comedy….

Re: kat7hy7 – Im sure she doesnt care about impressing you so fuck off. Im sure playing romantic comedies would be extremely tedious for her. She gets the more interesting stuff because she's amazing! unique and fearless
