Be Careful Who You Defriend On Facebook; They Might Burn Your House Down!

We don't think this is what Mark Zuckerberg had in mind when he created his online empire.

The monster has taken over the man world!!!

A woman in Des Moines found her house in flames this week after she defriended someone on Facebook. Jennifer Christine Harris and her husband were fast asleep when Nikki Rasmussen set fire to their garage and booked it. The fire caused a loud booming sound that thankfully woke the pair, who managed to escape as the siding on their house began to melt from the heat of the fire in the detached garage!

And we're not kidding! This all happened because of Facebook.

Jennifer's husband Jim told the police that the two women were ensnared in a petty, catty battle via the website and just recently, Jen defriended Nikki so that the fight would end. Police Detective Jack Kamerick then relayed the story to the press, explaining:

“Things were posted on Facebook. Jen asked Nikki to create an event on Facebook for a party. Nikki did that. As the date for the party approached “there were a lot of ‘declines,’ on Facebook, the detective said. It was looking like the party might be a bust. The dispute apparently blossomed. So when the garage went up in flames, Harris became the first name that occurred to the victims."

Totally cray cray!

Oh, the horror each of them are going to feel when they revisit their pages in years to come!!!

Let this be a lesson learned to all of you who are planning to end a friendship on Facebook…

There will be consequences!

    No matter where you go or what you do nowadays you have to be careful. There are alot of crazy people out there. Wonder what's in the water or the food nowadays ???

    I'm from Des Moines and I just wanted to point out that the names are backwards in this story…Jim & Nikki Rasmussen were asleep in their home when Jennifer Christine Harris started their garage on fire. She's the one charged with arson, not Nikki. Poor Nikki…first her former friend tries to burn her house down and now all Perez readers are going to think she's the psycho.

    precisley why im not on fb too many people take it too seriously my 14 yr old cousin was beat up for some things he said on fb by some guys hes ok was just punched in the street by the jerks but still the whole thing is bs.. !!

    I don't think Niki was the victim since her last name is and has always been Rasmussen unless she married someone with the same exact name. Why would this preacher's daughter have a mug shot if she didn't do anything wrong.

    This girl has always been a crazy hoe.
