Adam Sandler Talks Bizarre Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes LOLz!

| Filed under: Film FlickersTom CruiseKatie HolmesAdam SandlerDavid Letterman

It's called acting Tom.

Adam Sandler visited David Letterman to promote his new movie Jack and Jill. Katie Holmes co-stars in the film as Adam's wife, a fact that her husband, Tom Cruise, didn't seem to understand.

According to Sandler, Cruise said:

"This is weird that my wife is going to be your wife in the movie, it's very weird, it's bizarre."

Really Tom? You've been in countless films and you weren't actually married to the women that played your wives (except for that one time).

Of course Adam has a cleaver response or Tom's craziness. He told Letterman,

"It's a PG movie, no worries, nothing is going to happen. In fact, anything I do with your wife in the movie, you can do with my wife. So every morning I'd go to the set and hear, 'Please do a love scene. Please slowly take your shirt off in that scene and rub her ever so tenderly.'"

LOL! Check out the whole interview (above)!

WOW, Adam is really unfunny! There's nothing witty or clever about his interview..

Oh, it's bizarre alright. Let me break this down for you:
My theory is that Tom - in his twisted and bizarre head - actually believes that He, Tom Cruise, is the original, (or reincarnated original, depending upon your belief system or semantic slant) "Adam." The First Man, or whatever you wanna call him.
(Yes, I'm talking about that dude from the Bible.)
And further, Tom might actually believe that the "magic!" of Scientology found him his "Eve," in the form of Katie Holmes. Whom he had to interview before she even got the part, remember? After all, He had to produce for the world a child; a "Princess" who will one day lead us to great things…
    (Including higher heels for tots.)
Indeed, He was so damned excited to have found The First Woman that He jumped on a couch.
    (snicker, snicker)
Lastly - to connect my theory to the film itself - the rhyme of "Jack & Jill" has often been compared in literary and theology circles to the original (ahem) story of "Adam & Eve."
So… in Tom's brain it is indeed bizarre:
Some guy named Adam is playing Himself in a movie about Himself, and His Wife is playing Herself while a guy named after Himself plays Her Husband.
    While He watches. ;)

Yes, Tom, it is weird, but not as weird or bizarre the way you've been pretending to be straight all these years.

Tom was in more than one movie with Nicole Kidman - they met on the set of Days of Thunder and then starred in Far and Way and Eyes Wide Shut together. For someone that is supposedly a movie fanatic, this should be a no-brainer. As in interesting little aside, Tom's first wife Mimi Rogers starred on Dawson's Creek in it's last season, where Katie Holmes got her start…

Re: jenottawa69 – Sorry, that should be "AN interesting aside" and "Far and Away" - my bad…
