Dr. Conrad Murray: I Don't Feel Guilty. I Didn't Kill MJ!

| Filed under: Michael JacksonSad Sad

dr conrad murray says he didnt kill michael jackson

Thanks to Today, the world can see Dr. Conrad Murray actually talk about his feelings on Michael Jackson's death. And trust us, it's gonna strike some chords!

While he chose not to defend himself in court, he sure as hell did in this interview!

Here's what he said:

I think propofol is not recommended to be given in the home setting, but it is not contraindicated. When I looked at a man who was all night deprived of sleep, who was desperate for sleep and finally is getting some sleep, am I gonna sit over him, sit around him, tug on his feet, do anything unusual to wake him up? No. I wanted him to rest. There was no need for monitoring.

I do not feel guilty because I did not do anything wrong.

We should also note that he says he left the room to talk on the phone. Back when he gave the police his story, he said he was going to the restroom… Interesting.

So what are UR thoughts, readers?? He's already been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, but what's UR verdict??

Murray was the scapegoat. Michael's whole family should have been on trial. Free-loading whores!

  2. 2

My verdict is that Jackson had substance-abuse issues, and probably didn't tell Murray all of what he was taking and how much of it he was taking. Murray's actions were questionable, but Jackson is equally if not more responsible for his own death. Jermaine Jackson says one day that Michael was not at addict, and the next day other family members are saying that they knew he had a problem but couldn't intervene because they were all shut out. Which is it? Jackson was their cash cow and they're using him mercilessly even now. I'm wondering how long it will be before papa Joe and company are going to sue Murray for money in a "wrongful death" suit that will benefit THEM, not Jackson's children. They're all useless, greedy trash (except for Janet).

he didnt kill him just gave him the loaded gun

  4. 4

while his entire family just stood to the side and watched

Even Murray's own experts at the trial said they would never give propofol in a bedroom without monitoring. Not for any amount of money. This guy is like a sociopath and I hope he gets the maximum sentence. Obviously he thinks it would be perfectly okay to do the same thing again to someone else so I hope he never practices medicine again.

Re: CaliCoyote – Yes, as CaliCoyote said, he family is sitting comfy now. Look at all the money that they have made off him. They are only mad that Murray will be paid, but they won't for that MSNBC special.

Being a dumbass and collecting a huge paycheck, whilst speaking to one of your 10 baby momma’s on the phone is a crime. If you were not such a douche this would never have happened, and I am no were near a Michael Jackson Fan. I can’t stand his family and I think the pimp of a creeper father should be locked up with you.

perhaps murray didn't kill MJ.. but he certainly contibuted to his death and that's why he was found guilty of mansalughter by a jury who reviewed all of the evidence. he was negligent, found guilty, end of story. interesting to see him use the word "contraindicated" for his negligent propofol use too… sounds like legalese to me. the jury didnt buy it - you shouldn't fall for his semantics either.

MJ was murdered as a child.

  12. 12

MJ is responsible for his own death.

    Re: raypearson

Because you will jack off to them.

  14. 14

I hope murray pays for what he has done…yes michael prolly was addicted but murray knew this..he said himself he was trying to wheen him off..you cant wheen them off by giving them more drugs…and this man called himself a Dr. sheeeesh Drs. are suppose to help their patient not make it worse….the fact is he killed michael and he needs to pay for that….and the drugs murray gave he wasnt even allowed to give..wasnt certified…RIP Michael you will finally have your justice.

  15. 15

Dr Murray Guilty! and Casey Anthony Not Guilty !?! WOW God Bless Our Justice system Disgusting!

What Dr. Murray did goes against the ethics and the oath he took when he became a doctor. As a nurse, Dr. Murray should be held accountable because HE KNEW BETTER. Here in Houston, it is illegal to give propofol unless the patient is on a ventilator due to the profound effects the drug will have on the patient's respiratory statys, and so for Dr. Murray to say there was no need to monitor Michael Jackson is outrageous. He, being the doctor, was more knowledgeable of the drug & knew better. Regarldess of whether MJ had a drug problem or not - he got the propofol from SOMEONE. It takes two to tango & everyone involved should be held responsible.

Re: gooby – from wikipedia…. why yes it is contraindicated…
As with any other general anesthetic agent, propofol should be administered only where appropriately trained staff and facilities for monitoring are available, as well as proper airway management, a supply of supplemental oxygen, artificial ventilation and cardiovascular resuscitation.

The administration of Propofol ABSOLUTELY states that monitoring must be in place - usually with mechanical ventilation! Conrad Murray is a doctor who took the Hippocratic Oath to "do no harm" and did exactly that by operating outside of his scope of practice (administrating an anesthetic agent in the home) without the proper equipment (standby ventilator or at the very least an apnea monitor and oxygen). Anyone in the health care field who works with Propofol on a daily basis (as I do) knows this!!! He not only operated beyond his practice (as a Cardiologist) but he did the job very poorly. Whether Michael was an addict (which is indisputable) is irrelevant. He needs to own this to save his soul. His license should be taken away no matter what!

Re: raypearson – I also think Perez should allow comments about Penn State child molestation case (as a poster on another forum pointed out, it has nothing to do with gay or sexual abuse, this is the same as the Catholic priest thing).

As for Dr. Murray, he has to live with himself, good luck making a living without a medical license.

  21. 21

There was no need for monitoring while administering propofol?! Who was this guy's med school teacher? Dr. Seuss? B/c his medical knowledge is on that level…

A bad decision as Jackson's hired physician to improperly administer a drug allegedly solely designed for use as an anesthetic, as a sleep aid instead, pretty much fixed Michael.
    Do no harm.

he is guilty of being a doctor feel good , he has done this with other celebrities, this isnt his first , so keep that one in mind when judging mj, he was on stuff over the years but it is up to the doc to decide whether to play into that or get him some help i dont know why ppl wish to wash their hands of ppl who indulge in drug abuse instead of helping. these ppl could be sick and need help, instead they come to web sites like this to judge mj like he owed any of you anything, he was his own worse enemy. he only hurt himself and was never proven to hurt children , you ppl are only angry because you wanted him to be what you imagined and he was the polar oposite, , murray need to be in jail for shady medical practices, and ppl need to leave mj alone stop the madness and let a poor soul rest in peace. stop these stupid headlines and analogies, stop pulling out your PC card cu z none of you are walking down a lilly white path of righteousness. the trial is over let murray fry in his own grease and move on this is a dead issue.

Dr. Murray absolutely contributed to MJ's death as far as I'm concerned. Yea, it's clear that MJ had an addiction. Instead of being a doctor that treats his patients with the best medical care, he gave MJ what he wanted NOT what he needed. I'm quite sure he would have never treated his "regular" patients with this type of medication without the proper medical equipment, setting and medical history. Dr. Murray did it all for the money! He was getting paid much more than he would in his regular practice so he felt he needed to cater to MJ's demands. It was HIS job to find out medical history, confer with his other doctors and together find a proper treatment. As a professional, you just don't give MJ what he wanted because it was the only thing MJ felt worked for him. HE IS GUILTY!
