"These people who are making a big deal out of gay marriage? I don't give a fuck about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?! We're making a big deal out of things we shouldn't be making a deal out of. They go on and on with all this bullshit about "sanctity" — don't give me that sanctity crap! Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want."

- Clint Eastwood to GQ magazine about his thoughts on gay marriage

    Legend!

  2. 2

    Go ahead, make my gay.
    He's sounding senile.

  3. 3

He's absolutely right on the money. There are way bigger issues in society, but you get these "religious" fanatics that spend time wasted on this instead of real issues. Get over it you religious holier than though types. You are the most two face people on the planet.

  4. 4

    Amen to that!

  5. 5

    Clint Eastwood for president!!!!

  6. 6

Legendary artist and a just good person all around!

  7. 7

God I love him! He's such a no-bullshit guy and he makes sense. We whine and pine over meaningless drivel. HE should run for President (too bad he's too old.)

  8. 8

He's such a pissed of person, but I love this quote. Right on, Clint.

  9. 9

He says exactly what people are thinking.

  10. 10

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. But that also means that they follow the same crap that everyone does when it comes to divorce (i.e. Melissa Etheridge and her kind…who tried to walk away from her obligations because they "weren't married").

  11. 11

He's wrong. Just because he is in favor of gay marriage doesn't mean that the thoughts and opinions of those who oppose it are unimportant and that it's not an issue for them. Eastwood is just another asshole with just another opinion, and he certainly does not say what's on MY mind.

my buddy's mother makes $72 hourly on the internet. She has been fired for 6 months but last month her check was $7635 just working on the internet for a few hours. Go to this site nirl.eu/m

  13. 13

    He is correct.

  14. 14

Word. Like that he's Republican and everyone knows it and yet he doesn't see a point of fighting over something so small and really unimportant in the grand scheme.

  15. 15

    Love Clint

  16. 16

yay! good for him. equality for all!

  17. 17

Re: La Garse – You're just another asshole with another opinion, too. Congratulations.

  18. 18

Please don't blame all the religious folks for this. I support gay marriage. It makes sense. I'm religious, too. Let's get busy with the more urgent issues that need facing like hunger and child abuse!

  19. 19

    His quote is legend :)

  20. 20

    sexiest man alive

  21. 21

I ate his Hog's Breath Inn in Carmel a few times.
    The man knows his meat.

Re: La Garse – Actually, he's right. He has the compassion to understand that two guys or two girls living together just doesn't really affect him. He understands that what is immoral isn't two people trying to be happy, but the immoral thing to do is to stand in the way of their happiness. Your views are indeed unimportant. Thank God people like you are becoming the minority. I can't imagine having what it takes to literally go out and vote against the rights of two individuals who just want to commit to each other. I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing I have that kind of hate in my body. I think you should sit down and think about what you really see as immoral because two people expressing their love and intentions to commit to each other just isn't it.

  23. 23

    Well said, Clint.

IF this country REALLY cared about moral issues, why is the religious right so silent when it comes to the AWFUL behavior we see with today's 'straight' celebrities.

I suppose they think all gay people should have 'sanctified' marriages like Kim & Kris Kardashian or Kate & jon? lol

  24. 24

    Right on the money.

  25. 25

Good for you, Clint - you have always been a class act.

  26. 26

I have to agree. If you think gay marriage is the absolute worst thing going on in this world today then you have to seriously reevaluate your thinking.

  27. 27

    well put :)
homosexuality is too glamorized anyway. anyone and everyone has the freedom of choice but I don't chose to have it shoved in my face either. let them be. but be it in private please…

  28. 28

I think we should have universal marriage, everyone marries everyone in 20 couple groups, and then have a gender neutral swap of spouses and kids on a rotation, or when they annoy us whichever comes first.

  29. 29

Re: joethehobo – Well said. If more people explained it this way, without a hateful response but rather trying to reason with them, then maybe they would understand.

  30. 30

    AMEN!
