In that she did NOT record so much music that there are going to be posthumous albums for years to come.
While one such album (Lioness: Hidden Treasures) will be available soon, fans will only have this collection of never before hears Amy Winehouse songs to enjoy. After this, according to producer Salaam Remi who worked very closely with Amy, there isn't a tone more unheard material to release.
"She didn't record like 2Pac, so that's not the case. There are definitely things that people hadn't heard that have been recorded, but they're in different modes in different forms. But she wasn't a recorder like that."
However, there is still some collaborative work that might release after further down the road. Like a song she recorded with Nas, which ended up getting completed after she died in July. Salaam adds:
"Amy sang on records that we never put out with Nas. As far as them now getting on the same record, that was a conversation in play for the last couple of years but that just didn't happen yet. And when I listened to that song, I was like, 'You know what? This makes sense,' to actually make that happen as far as things that she wants to do that didn't happen yet."
We think we speak for a lot of her fans in saying we will take what we can get. She was and remains in our hearts a truly amazing artist and we're happy to enjoy any little piece of her musical legacy that she has left behind.
