We imagine there will be more than a few people who will be ecstatic over THIS news!
The fifth season of Mad Men will premiere in March of 2012 after some seriously intense negotiations, but don't worry, because according to the new deal, series creator Matthew Weiner will be now be producing up to seven - and he already has quite the ending in place for the series finale episode!
"I do know how the whole show ends. It came to me in the middle of last season. I always felt like it would be the experience of human life. And human life has a destination. It doesn't mean Don's gonna die. What I'm looking for, and how I hope to end the show, is like … It's 2011. Don Draper would be 84 right now. I want to leave the show in a place where you have an idea of what it meant and how it's related to you. It's a very tall order, but I always talk about 'Abbey Road.' What's the song at the end of Abbey Road? It's called 'The End.' There is a culmination of an experience of people working at their highest level."
And we'd certainly say that Mad Men has certainly done that thus far!
Such a fascinating, cool idea! It would certainly be really interesting to see how past Don Draper has changed throughout the years to become his modern-day self!
But we'll try not to think about this until the time comes!
We've still got three seasons to enjoy, after all!
What do U think?? How would U like to see Mad Men end??
