NBC Midseason Line-Up Shocker! Community Shelved!
Ugh! We are blaming Whitney for this nonsense!
Although Community is arguably one of the best-written, funniest comedies on television, NBC pulled one hell of a switch-up for its mid-season schedule, which has left the series SHELVED indefinitely!
Starting Thursday, January 12th, 30 Rock will take its place in the 8pm time slot, while Up All Night will move to Whitney's spot at 9:30pm. That mess will instead be moved to Wednesdays at 8pm, to be followed by the equally disastrous-looking Are You There, Chelsea, formerly titled Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea.
Oh yeah, and that Maria Bello Prime Suspect show is gone, too. Back to Community, though -
The cast and crew seem to be just as shocked as everyone by the change, and HIGHlariously took to Twitter to discuss!

Ugh! Best case scenario, Whitney and Chelsea can die off together with relative speed and ease on Wednesdays, and Community can reclaim its rightful throne on the NBC line-up!

Ok kiddos, I know it's probably really difficult for someone that believes "Whitney" is a clever and insightful show to understand this but here it goes… Community has cult like following, it has characters that have evolved from season to season making it possible for the viewer to develop interest, and most importantly, it is clever. Clever is not something seen on television anymore because we now live in a country where mediocrity is accepted. Not here, not now, never will I accept a mediocre comedy show on my tv. Suck it "Whitney" fans.

Before everyone starts thinking the worst, just know that the show has not been canceled yet. This happens a lot in primetime. The network simply had to make room for all of their new comedies. Community will be back to air its episodes and still very well may get a 4th season since syndication is so close. The same thing has and is happening to Cougartown on ABC, and no one thinks that show is going away. The best thing you can do to help Community is to either write to NBC or just hope that one or more of NBC's new comedies does miserably this year. Here's hoping.

I never watched "Community" but I will say I actually agree with you on "Whitney". I watched the first episode and it's just God awful. The acting is atrocious and the jokes just fall flat ("I didn't need to be CC'ed on THAT one"…really?!?). I would give Laura Prepon a chance as she's a great actress and at least wait until it airs to give your opinion on it.
