They used to pay $100,000 for a 30 second spot during Oprah. Katie? She'll be lucky to see $50,000. They believe in themselves, though! That's their opening offer.

But let us point out that's more than even Ellen asks for! She only sees $40,000 a spot, and she's arguably the hottest talk show around right now!!!

But we'll wait and see… even though Madison Avenue is somewhat laughing at the number, she does have that coveted timeslot after all.
