Christopher Walken has hired an attourney as the Natalie Wood case reopening gets underway.

The actor was one of the last people to see her alive when she died during a boat trip in 1981.

The two starred together in Brainstorm that year.

According to reports, Walken's new lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, was brought to advise the actor during the case.

LAPD have said that neither Walken not Natalie's husband Robert Wagner are suspects.

As reported earlier, the captain of the ship has placed blame on Wagner for Wood's death.

Walken has said that he intends to fully cooperate as the police investigate Natalie's death.

He killed her- obviously. Why else would he need a lawyer?

  2. 2

    He did it. . . .

  3. 3

WHO is this old lady with the umbrella … ?

  4. 4

Dude needs some serious sun and a normal haircut. The whole mortician look isnt really going to appeal in a possible murder investigation.

  5. 5

All these years I would have sworn it was the husband.

  6. 6

Wagner killed her, and Walken essentially helped cover it up by not giving up all the details of what happened that night. He's going to need that lawyer.

  7. 7

    He knows something.

  8. 8

WOW WHAT A STORY I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT IT SEEMED LIKE IT WAS A COVER UP BY TWO FRIENDS AND SHE NEEDS JUSTICE THERE BOTH ACTORS AND WILL DO A SCENE LIKE LETS SAY THROW THE LADY IN THE WATER AND MAKE IT SEEMED IT WAS AN ACCIDENT AND PLAY VICTIMS OBVIOSLY THEY MUST KNOW WHAT HAPPEN I WOULD BE SCREAMING ASKING FOR HELP ANYTHING TO SAVE HER SHE KNOWS SOMETHING THE WANTED HER OUT

Don't forget…they are both actors, and could be pretty good with the crocodile tears. I am sure it was an 'accident' - stuff done in a drunken rage, but, well, Natalie needs justice. This is gonna be one good inquest !

  10. 10

He looks like the villian in that horror film Phantasm.

  11. 11

News reports say Wagner is not a suspect, but they don't say anything about Walken being cleared. And if both Wagner and Walken are "innocent," then what else is there to investigate?

  12. 12

I have always believed that Wagner did it and it really pisses me off that so quickly the investigators are saying he is not a suspect!! Sounds to me like yet again ANYONE can be bought in merry ol' Hollywood to get off!! I don't think Walken had anything to do with it BUT he was there and and maybe after his drunken/drug haze wore off he was able to piece everything together and kept his mouth shut since he knew he would be next as Wagner had thick Mob connections……. just sayin'

I am gobsmacked about this. Nancy Grace had a pretty interesting show about this last night and she pointed out a lot of credible reports that caused this case to be re-opened 30 years later. I can only imagine what Natalie's children must think. Could Robert Wagner have accidentally done something horrible to Natalie. Like the Casey Anthony family did when they accidentally killed Casey by negligence and they tried to cover it up with that fake kidnapping and all. I don't know about Christopher Walken. Why does he need a lawyer? Did he do something or was he a witness and was told to keep it quiet or he'd be implicated if he blabbed? If Christopher did do something why would Robert stay quiet all this time? Or are the two men covering for each other? Something doesn't read right with those two guys and never did from the start of this case 30 years ago. I hope the mystery of Natalie's death can be solved once and for all and Natalie can finally rest in peace.

All the youngsters here commenting on this is very entertaining. Most of you weren't even born yet and you have such intense comments on something you know nothing about. That's why I love this site. Very good entertainment and it's free.

For all the youngsters out there who don't have clue who Natalie Wood really is, check out your fav Xmas Movie, "Miracle on 34th Street" for her innocent child's performance, and "West Side Story" where she really blossoms as a beauty. She was beautiful, otherwise no one would care how she drowned. She and her husband were heavy drinkers and she might have just fallen overboard. Blaming anyone 40 years later is just Hollywood gossip and another movie of the week. It's sad that they won't just leave her legacy remain untarnished without dragging this through the mud again. Must be a slow Hollwood news day. The old joke from my days in elementary school when this happened was, "What type of wood doesn't float? …Natalie Wood!" Pretty tacky then, and it's still just a joke now that won't die.

There has always been suspicion that Walken and Natalie were having an affair. But it was never proven or confirmed. Something tells me we may finally find out.

  17. 17

I always thought he did it.

  18. 18

    Sketchy!

  19. 19

He and RJ were having a gay affair, maybe, and the ship's capatin caught them doing the 'down-low'….Natalie was gonna tell…it all went down from there….Who Knows ?…HollyWood is a dirt-eeee place. Look at what drugs have done to this guy's appearance . He looks like he is in costume for Dracula. Ug-leeeeeeeeeee !

  20. 20

Nobody would have believed that Rock Hudson (other than the H'Wood community) that Rock Hudson was a big old 'Mo ! Keep and open, and perverted, mind !

  21. 21

It was likely an accident, but, the full details shoulda come out at the time. ' Involuntary manslaughter' woulda meant one of them would have served at least a few years, and neither of them wanted that, perhaps, hence the covering up … ? They just assumed Natalie would not have minded…. R.I.P., Natalie.

  22. 22

He and Gary Busey should start a club - ugly, old men !

  23. 23

Can't wait for the National Enquire's take on this !

  24. 24

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH J !!

I was a big Natalie Wood fan but I don't believe anyone killed her. Christopher Walken was already below in his room when Natalie went missing. All he could add is perhaps his knowledge of an earlier fight between he, Wagner and Wood and more details on what I think to be an emotional bond between he and Natalie. I think he's tried to avoid these details out of respect. I think otherwise, that Wagner had jealousy issues and he and Wood had a really huge argument. They all had been drinking heavily. I think most likely Wood , in a drunken rage, decided to go off on her own on the dinghy. She was drunk and slipped and hit her head. Wagner, on discovering the missing dinghy and Natalie, did not jump to the conclusion anything had happened to her and thought not to bring media attention to their spat. It would be 20/20 hindsight for him to have assumed that Natalie and the missing dinghy meant she was dead..and not just angry…and just having stormed off once again. They may have regularly had huge spats and he may have been use to it. But that doesn't make him a killer.

Re: BIGFOOT1 – Agreed. There was a 1994 remake of, "Miracle on 34th Street", but it can't compare to the original with Natalie. We did "West Side Story" at my middle school and also watched the movie. Everyone LOVED it and that was less than 10 years ago, so it's still popular all these years later.

  27. 27

People, getting a lawyer is not an admission of guilt. Walken would be an idiot if he didn't get legal representation for something that occured forty years ago.

  28. 28

Re: Be-Atch – Um Hello, are you blind? It's one of the Golden Girls. Anyway, I don't think Walken did it. I thought maybe the husband did it accidentaly after finding them flirting, if what the Captain said was true. Walken might have known and covered it up, but to be honest when I first heard the news, I said he did it. That's what you get when you play the evil guy in so many movies Chris.

[re=5938Re: MojoMagic – 82]Re: BIGFOOT1[/re] Really, 40 years ago? Public school educations, right?

    Re: MojoMagic
40 years ago? I know I'm not THAT old.

  31. 31

Re: trinigirl123 – LOL ! Yes, he does have a rather Bea Arthur (R.I.P.) quality about him in this photo !

  32. 32

I am sure they are both shak'n in their boots !

  33. 33

    Jesus H. Christ !!

WALKEN now looks like he's about to star as the new ANGUS SCRIM
    in
    a
    remake
    of
    PHANTASM !!

  34. 34

    Oh, and speaking of 'suspects'
    I
    love
    how
    the
    officials
    are
    saying
    that
    ROBERT WAGNER
    is NOt
    a suspect.
    WEALLY ?

    Then
    who
    the
    hell
    is
    a
    suspect ?

  35. 35

He needs a lawyer because he committed perjury….I bet the husband did it and a drunk Chris watched and didn't help then lied about it…
