El Lay Police Say Robert Wagner Is NOT A Suspect In Natalie Wood Death Case

robert wagner not a suspect in wood case

We've gotta admit, we're a little bit surprised to hear this.

To recap, yesterday the Los Angels County Sheriff's Department announced that they are reopening Natalie Wood's 1981 death case.

As we said before, Natalie drowned while boating off Santa Catalina Island, and it was deemed an accident at the time.

Today, the captain of the boat came forward and claimed that Natalie's then-husband Robert Wagner is responsible for her death…and Natalie's sister Lana said she believed it!

NOW, the El Lay Sheriff's Department has released a statement saying that Robert Wagner isn't being considered a suspect in the case, and that they still believe her death was a result of an accidental drowning.

While we certainly would prefer that Natalie Wood's death wasn't a result of foul play, we're not 100% sure why this case was reopened if Wagner isn't a suspect and police still think her death was an accident.

Very strange…

Oh ffs just let it lie! Nothing good comes from rehashing shit like this. Just more negative energy. Some people just want to be relevant again and relive old drama. She's dead and nothing will bring her back. If there wasnt evidence back then then there certainly wont be any 30 years later!

I think if they call him a suspect then certain rights attach but I agree that it's all very strange. There were four people on that boat and one ended up in the water in some unknown way and drowned. If they think it's foul play then the suspect pool is pretty limited. The only people who could have been involved are one or more of the three people who were on the boat with her. That part of it isn't that difficult.

If Lana is involved - something crooked is up. She's changed her version of things so many times over the years to earn a nickle. Its no wonder Natalie ultimately just stayed clear of her. In the end, however, there really is no need to go back through all of this. The fact there were fights that night have been long known. Let her rest in peace.
