Oprah is stepping into primetime with her new show.

And she wants to start 2012 right by debuting on New Year's Day.

Oprah's Next Chapter is set for a two hour premiere on OWN. Oprah says it's a big step in her life and stating the following about her upcoming show.

After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever — moving around the country and the world talking to people I'm really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too…

It is so energizing to be out and about in the world exploring new people, new places and new ideas.

For the show, Oprah will travel and speak with celebrities at their homes, world leaders, and everyday families.

Some scheduled appearances include a trip to Haiti with Sean Penn, a slumber party with Paula Deen, and touring Skywalker Ranch with George Lucas.

During the first episode, Oprah will visit Steven Tyler at his home.

OWN must be doing even worse than reported
This was not in her plans, guess Big Moma O needs to drum up some old viewers, looks like Rosie just didn't cut it

MR Pete, it was in her original plans, I remember her saying she would do this. I actually thought she decided not to do this bc it had been so long and we hadn't heard anything.

@Start 'splaining , Lucy: Thats rude. Grow up.

After this, it's 'Oprah - The Chapter After the Next Chapter', and then "Oprah - The Chapter Before the Final Chapter,' followed by 'Oprah - The Final Chapter,' wrapped up by 'Oprah - The Final Final Chapter, Really.'

I hope it flops like a fish out of water. I thought I was rid of her, guess not.

Go away. If I never see the frauds face again it will be too soon.

Opra opra opra it's one thing been a talking head and another running and building a business. Your 15 minutes were up years ago as a talking head as a business person well wher is own or is it called owl

Really? She's inflicting herself on the public yet again? Say it ain't so. I've been over Oprah for years. The woman's got more money than she'll ever be able to spend in this lifetime and yes, she does give a lot to charity. The major problem with that is she (and/or her PR people) make sure that everyone knows. Enough already.
