Meryl Streep was recently accused of only acting in The Iron Lady for the benjamins.
A former aide of Margaret Thatcher, the film's subject, stated that The Iron Lady's "only value is to make some money for [Streep]."
Not so fast!
Meryl had actually cut her fee to $1 million and donated the proceeds to charity! Her earnings went to the National Women's History Museum last fall.
Meryl is currently in Asia promoting the film at the US-China Forum on the Arts and Culture in Beijing.
