Southwest Set To Air New Reality Show After Epic Publicity Fails

| Filed under: TV NewsMedia MinuteGreen DayReality TV

Southwest has decided to allow cameras onto their planes following recent publicity flub-ups.

The airline has been caught on record doing very stupid regulating during their flights.

Some of the fails include kicking director Kevin Smith off for being overweight and kicking off Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong for sagging.

As reported earlier, L Word star Leisha Hailey was also kicked off for kissing her girlfriend, being told Southwest is a "family airling."

The new reality show will air on TLC and show planes from Baltimore and Denver.

The airline hopes the show will promote passenger and employee love towards Southwest.

But the damage has already been done.

This show was done already years ago.

Southwest's old reality show on A&E, only showed me what terrible service they provide and made me never want to fly with them. I'm not sure how they think another show is going to help their image…

Already done. the last thing they should do is show viewers the drama of flying and how SW handles their day to day. Mostly drunks and customers who get delayed for days are shown. I fly southwest but it is a utility airline and treat people like a commodity that can be replaced. That is their model and it works. They are better than Continental -United who treat passengers like crap.

I will be forever loyal to Southwest. Their low fares and great service allow me to travel more frequently. I also flew them on the first flight to Las Vegas after 9/11. There were only a few people on the plane and I had a friend with me (from Australia,) who was terrified. They went out of their way to be kind and sat with the passengers (there were about 10-15 total in the whole plane,) and talked and gave us snacks and the time flew by. THAT was superior customer service and shows their commitment to their customers. I've never been late with them and they've always been nice and the planes have always been clean. I'd watch a reality show with them as some of the attendants are hilarious. I DO wish they'd put all children and babies grouped together in the front or back of the plane so everyone else can have a somewhat quiet journey.

Stupid Idea I don't know how this will help their image because once the camera's are gone they will go back to doing what they didn't do or did do before which is not good. Its in POOR taste for a company to be on a TV Reality show I don't think I will watch it, it will be boring watching people sleep or read books while flying. BORING.

No one cares about Kevin Smith or some Lesbian from the L Word accept you. Therefor, no damage done.

    Holy Fucking Shit Perez,
it's called Spelling & Grammar check, every word processing software package comes with it…why don't you try using it once in a while or at least proof read your fucking posts before putting them up. It's like reading my 6 year old's homework and you're a grown man. I know I'm not the only person who's sick to death of your godawful constant typos, it's like you really don't give a shit about this blog anymore because it's been on a downward spiral for months.

Won't this just be another distraction. Shouldn't their focus be on getting people to their destinations safely? I don't really give a crap about "celebs" getting their feelings hurt, I care about getting to my destination safely and cheaply.
I mean if they polled their customers with "do you think about any bad celeb encounters when purchasing your airline tickets?" The answer would be overwhelmingly NO!
This is just them trying to get on the cheap TV bandwagon and frankly that market is saturated. I've resorted to watching Lifetime because it seems to have some of the few shows left with ACTORS! Ryan Gossling is on there right now.

Re: Amy3000 – godawful should contain a hyphen ie: god-awful not godawful and when referring to any number, it is always spelled out ie: six year old, not 6 year old (unless it is an address.) However, I do agree, there are too many grammatical mistakes for a web site such as this. It detracts and takes the reader away from the focus of the piece.

Maybe the damage is done for u Mario but I, as well as others, like southwest. I will keep giving them my business. They constantly have sales and low fares. Maybe u should find another airline Mario. I doubt they care if u like them or not. They're going to make $ regardless.

Re: NorCaliAli – Are you childfree like me? I understand that children can be tiresome, but most people have families. It's normal and okay. Your request is discriminatory and no one is going to cater to that, you might as well but all Black people in the back of the plane because they are loud. Deal with it.

ha! no damage done on my end.. as long as they continue to be cheap and get me where i need to go.. I'll keep flying southwest. vegas anyone?
