The Muppet Influence Hits TV! New Jim Henson Puppet Comedy Headed To NBC!

jim henson puppet show coming to nbc

We're SO glad that Jim Henson Studios is having this resurgence!

With all the well-earned hype surrounding the upcoming Muppets movie, we're NOT surprised that TV networks are starting to jump on the bandwagon!

That's right, folks! It's not another Muppet Show, but we've just learned that NBC has ordered a single-camera comedy called The New Neighbors, which "centers on a family that lives in Palm Springs and is aghast with their new neighbors — a gang of puppets." Ha!

Sure, there have been plenty of failed shows that featured puppets in the past, but this one is coming straight from Jim Henson Studios AND Jim's daughter Lisa Henson is involved…so we're thinking we can go into this one optimistically!

Maybe next the Food Network will bring on The Swedish Chef for his own cooking show! We would SO watch that…as long as there's subtitles that is! LOLz!

Are U excited for a new puppet show from Jim Henson Studios???

What is up with this "comments off" B.S.? It seems like Perez is trying to funnel our reactions rather than allow them to be organic. Like, did anyone notice how Perez took so much offense about that domestic violence Family Guy episode but then hardly batted an eye at the Penn State/child abuse South Park episode? And then he asks "What do you think?" but turns off the comments! What, Perez, are you afraid that we will call you out about making an uproar about one and not the other (which neither, as satire, deserve)? Stop trying to dictate our experience and turn back on all of the comments.

Seriously, Perez, I can copy and paste all day. Give your readers back their forum. Occupy your blog!
