DWTS Season Finale Ends On A Down Ratings Note

| Filed under: TV NewsDancing With The Stars

DWTS ended their 13th run last night, but did it stack up in the ratings department compared to other seasons?

Nope.

But that doesn't mean the ratings were low by any means!

The show ended up with a 19.5 million viewer count, and a 4.1 rating in the demographic.

But that means it was down 23% from last year, and we're hoping that the people in charge don't just look at that number! Plus, the network still won the night.

Congrats again, J.R. and Karina, and everyone involved this season!!

Perez, everyone watched X instead. They wanted to see if that little Ass-tro would have another meltdown.

    oh well i saw it

well they may as well have made himthe winner in first show. Nobody can compete with sob story heroes..

Log as Chris Kardashian and his girlfriend didn't win and it's all good. His sister were so annoying with their Tweets I wanted him kicked off so much earlier to not hear anything about Chris, but then again it's not his fault for who his family is poor guy.

Len Goodman needs to RETIRE from judging the US DWTS. He brought the spirit down many of the weeks. People have real stress in their lives and want to see a dancing show that entertains but does not make them feel angry and depressed. Carson K brought joy in. Chaz wanted to be a role model to children but we saw an immature 43 year old person that uses his mom but seems to dislike her. JR never tried to be a role model but IS an excellent one for everyone. Rob learned to entertain. Nancy Grace "looked on the bright side of life" and we enjoyed seeing a joyful side of her. Nancy did not allow Len's NASTY remarks to her take away the fun she was having.

    Kudos to everyone!

But you still gushed that Gossip Girl did great with a .7 demo and 1.4 million viewers, lmao. Blame Chaz Bono for the drop at DWTS, no one wants to see some freak whoring itself out to the media. The only thing up was the food bill.

Love DWTS and I watch it that night before but on the next night I was watching X Factor US. DWTS could have done the vote off in an hour but chose to drag it out longer. Len Goodman is a real turnoff.

Possibly its because the media reported the winner BEFORE the west coast watched the finale! Thats exactly what happened in my case and a couple of my friends as well (which is why we didnt watch the finale). Its impossible to stop that exact thing from happening but that would explain a down in the ratings for a couple of popular shows/ all shows as well.
